Laser and Pyro Work was nice. Problem: In my ears hardstyle isn't music just noise.

Bitch please, whatever you call it, it's your regular techno just under a different name. Everything about it is the same as 20 years back. No diversity at all. What you need is psytrance in your system  :ajaja:

Techno, Y U NO EVOLVE OR DIE?

Errrmm....ever heard of Kompakt? Wolfgang Voigt? Jurgen Paape? Those guys turn your average techno into something incredible. Don't dismiss the entire genre based on the stereotypical 4 to the floor trash.

Pantha Du Prince - Welt Am Draht

I mean really...

Anywho, hardstyle is really nasty. But then I'd consider Darude as hardstyle.

I haven't heard of them, well not untill now when I checked them out real fast. Most of those don't sound techno at all, and neither does the one you posted a direct link to.

I mean are you trying to convince me that this is techno?

Wolfgang Voigt - Der Wald

Wolfgang Voigt - Zither und Horn

Jurgen Paape sounds like the only real example here, and I still have the same opinion. That opinion being that techno is at the lowest level of all electronic genres (hell even house is better ) when it comes to expressing your artistic essence.

You picked out a GAS track. Fair enough, under that alias Voigt was mixing ambient with 4/4 techno (and my god I love him for it). That track in particular misses the kick, so yeah, if we're going by single tracks, that song is not techno. But as a producer, Voigt is fundamentally techno.

Better example:
GAS - Oktember (A1)

Pantha Du Prince is one of the best techno producers around. That track is techno. Just because it lacks the atypical Hi hats, claps, shakers, etc, doesn't lump it into a different genre. The only possible genre you could throw it into is dub techno, but that isn't the case as the kicks are clean and crisp, there's nothing dubby about it. (GAS on the other hand you could classify it as). I hate to get into genre wars, seriously, anyone that loves music, listens, they don't try and classify it.

You're posting some really atmospherical sub-genre stuff that I highly doubt would be included or appreciated in any relatively big rave event as the one YourKing posted (if I'm wrong about this then I take all of it back). I'm all for the wall-of-noise type of music such as drone or breakcore, and I'm sure even the biggest technohead after some time when he finally decides to download and explore something other than his usual choice will see his own current lack of taste for... beauty and depth? (Just like I did with metal)  Cause there's something more than popping piss ammounts of LSD or X and enjoying a light show when it comes to true resonating musical experience, least that's how I see it. I probably generalized in that last sentence a bit too much, but that's because I don't see this genre as a 1 on 1 experience, listener vs sound system. Without all the vibes coming from the crowd around you, you tend to get bored 10 minutes in. But whatever... in a world where Burial is a reference to something good, I'm not surprised there are people who get their fix from this.

-----Lol as I write this I realise that in my mind I'm shuffling mainly hardstyle and jumpstyle tracks which I consider glorified hardcore techno so I guess my argument is not entirely global like I made it look in my previous posts.

When you say this, and then have the guts to say this:

Bitch please, whatever you call it, it's your regular techno just under a different name. Everything about it is the same as 20 years back. No diversity at all. What you need is psytrance in your system  :ajaja:

and on top of that say this:

Hardstyle = techno

then I wonder how you even dare to say this:

I haven't heard of them, well not untill now when I checked them out real fast. Most of those don't sound techno at all, and neither does the one you posted a direct link to.

Seriously,
