Very rad vid, always cool to see that building landed with something other than a PCJ. Reverse taxi stunt was funky too.

VC Un-Modded Stunting Video Releases / Re: FINAL CALL
« on: January 21, 2020, 06:54:47 AM »
Firstly, big fucking shout out to Nem for organizing this video, collecting everything and putting it together -  I know firsthand how much of a hassle it was to get the intro and all the skins working properly, more went on behind the scenes than most would guess  Secondly, a big shout out to everyone who participated, I know it's cliche to say something about GTAS decline in activity in x year whenever a solid video is released but it really is rad to see that even after 15/16 years of stunting in Vice City, spots being rinsed dry and any other trials and tribulations along the way, we can still band together and put out a fucking great video. Again, great job to everyone who sent stuff, Nem for organizing, Dev for the superb intro and Krypton for taking on the editing.

I never thought I'd see some of the names in the video pop up again which was rad to see, as Erney said it had the old community vibe and a great atmosphere to go with it. Quality lineup with even better stunts, it's interesting to see the different approach everyone takes at spots - what really caught me off guard the most was Flatface's stoppie to grind stoppie to boat. Another one would be Daffy's LC wallride, one of those spots everyone's looked at from time to time. Other personal favourites were Gavran's LC CSM, Haywire's gap CSM, Puzzle's LC P2B (that angle looks atrocious!), ARS' VC ramp to billboard grind (nice to see that spot done naturally), Nagual's cork to grind threading the needle through the staircase, Blade's double boost prec, Danger's helicopter boost, Sheep's SAiVC BSM (I've always loved stunts that have a rotation and then stop from a wall hit ie Torque's coach bump in Connected I think), and ofcourse Ralleee's ender - everyone had great stuff and I liked the balance of bigairs to tech stuff, prec's etc. Lovely stuff fellas, in hindsight maybe I should've sent something better.

Editing wise, Krypton did a top notch job. Everything was fluent and made for an enjoyable watch, stunts were captured well with no bad angles, random cuts or overdone effects. As a couple of others have already said, kinda feels like the old days again with all the hype, the scripted intro and the great lineup  :cc_detective: Overall, fucking sick video, well done again to everyone involved and hopefully we get to do another one.

Just use modloader, offers real time changes in game.

Great work Hay :cc_detective:

SA Un-Modded Video Releases / Re: 60 Seconds Chrono - Unknown Artist
« on: August 21, 2019, 03:13:37 AM »
Ouch! First you insult anime songs on Burn's stream, now this transition to my personlity that has nothing to do with this video.
This transition is nothing important, but under one of my videos there is an interesting comment saying, and i quote "feels like some of those Art's solos, but unmodded". I do not thing that you are a modder. I saw your videos and i like them. Actually, i even try to reland some of the stunts. I even do not think that quote is all about your stunts and NOT your behavior as GTAS member. In other circumstances i would love to take that quote as compliment (if it was serious). But you must admit that this quote, your quote about me and quality of this "remake" allows me to say: OH THE IRONY.
But if "transition" is just a funny thing, insulting an anime songs is a serious shit and can not be ignored. That is why i must step forward and make another post insulting something related to you. So, why dont i make a UNBIASED review to your "remake" since the quality of it allows me to do it? Unbised answer to your biased insulting to anime songs.

First of all, why do people make a remakes. People do not make a remake of some random video. This video must be classic/popular/legendary/favorite. They make a remake to show respect to that video, stunters and influence that video made years and years ago.
You chose FB Kizen. In the description you posted what a Kaizen means. And Kaizen means to do your best, right? So, you say people can expect a really good remake. But what is the first thing people see? That you threw work UNFINISHED. You call that "outro stunts"? But if you will look at old SA stunting videos, you will see, that "outro stunts" are part of a stunting videos with the same quality (or sometimes even higher) OR they are just bails. In Kizen they were not bails. They were a part of the stunting video. So, you just threw your work on a half way. And i am asking - is it some irony or what people call today "postirony"? Or is it your own interpretation what Kaizen principles mean?

Now, let's make it easily to understand. Let's look at a good remake video, PM's TSM S,D&R'n'R remake. Obviously you can not do it way better than original (only some small things), but also you should not make it worse than original. Because, what is the point? What is the point to take 11 years old video and make it worse than original? You say those stunts were landed/executed "okay"? They were not. Maybe you think i bother you with some irrelevant details? Because i do not. I see 3 experienced skilled stunters, i know what they are capable for. And when i see those "executions" on a pretty easy stunts, when i see "prec landings" where part of vehicle hanging in the air instead of making a normal solid landing (and this is the point of prec landing stunts btw), i know those stunters just did not put enough effort. They did not put 10 more minutes to do things properly.
And that "missed" stunt now looks like not a "miss", but like a regularity. Lack of effort's regularity. So, do you think you've done enough?

Now, you did not land those "outro stunt". But not just that. You did not make an OUTRO. So, your video is just a STUMP. It feels like you threw stunts to Vegas, rendered and now throw "something mixed" to our faces: "Go, watch". Video must be a finished product. After all, where is simple "thanks for watching"? Special thanks? Where is explanation what we just watched, why it was made? Intro, main part, outro. Do you think it is a niggle? But we are talking about respect. Remake to show respect. And your "product" has nothing to do with respect. Even this fucking title of this thread, why do you put there a song from an outro of original video if you decided to ignore it in your "remake"?

So, this is not PM's type of remake. Maybe it is a BlackTear's type of remake (WH Megaton, btw it has no intro/outro too)? Maybe it is a joke/irony/postorny? When i saw PM's remake - i said "WOW", when i saw BlackTear's remake - i said "LOL". Tell me, what do i need to say when i look at your "product"?

First impression of this video was: damn, this editor lasted, like, 30 seconds. Editing, stunting, feels like you made it "on exhale". And now i remember what you said on Burn's stream. You said that you can make like 10 attempts per 1 stunt and then you move to another one. I assume this video was made in the same direction. This is not a good stunting video. This is not a good remake of a good stunting video. You have made a monument to your own unwillingness to stunting. Tell us, how does it feel when you need to search for a reasons every time you open SA? Is it worth it?

imagine being this upset because someone talked shit on a fucking anime song

VC Un-Modded Stunting Video Releases / Re: Happy Birthday to Lance
« on: June 21, 2019, 02:30:10 AM »
I just saw the great difference how Chinese and European stunt from this vid (Just kidding) Nowadays gtastunting could be called like dead and I know you, lance.. you are the one who is always passionate about the past-fun. Sending my respect to you because I am not a conservative guy to old games ;D Blazee and Sheep still rocked even tho B you seemed to use something for twice lmao but never mind. Hoenstly enjoyed this vid a lot, edits were comfortable as always, Oliv ❤

Nah the stuff I sent to this were some of the sloppier executions of the stuff I sent to Max's collab, I just figure this was a chill birthday collab so sent them here. Anyway, sick video! Lots of really cool stuff in there from people I've never even heard of  Fog's double boost opener and other boosts throughout the video, Khaimyk's Voodoo bump, Relao's multiple ledgegrind, Oliver's taxi prec and Sheep's drop bump to grind were some of my favourites. Editing was nice too with good vibes throughout, gj!  :cc_detective:

;D very cool!!!!

Thanks!

I made a PCJ for mqtH recently, nothing too crazy just a relatively simple matte grey bike with some light carbon detailing etc - super happy with the way it turned out. View in full res to see the details etc.

I also made this Sanchez for myself to match my PCJ, not the craziest skin texture wise given that the entire body/engine texture is from the reflection map and the rest was copied over from the PCJ but at this point I don't really care about complexity - rather have something that I'm happy with and looks (in my opinion) good. Had to do a little bit DFF work to put the speca on the seat area.

I'll have a sort through my reps and send a couple over, probably won't be the greatest stunts of all time but should be acceptable enough for a fun birthday collab :)

VC Un-Modded Stunting Video Releases / Re: MIDNIGHT MARAUDERS
« on: June 07, 2019, 03:09:29 AM »
Thanks for using the wrong skins despite multiple PM's including the correct ones :P It's all good, great work on the whole project Max - you have an eye for capturing and showcasing stunts to their fullest potential, I have no idea how you managed to get some of those angles! Even some of the smaller cuts on the runup/lands such as the zoom to MtS players face, the panning over the spot on the runups such as on Leo's SAiVC PSM/Sheeptea's SAiVC P2B or the angles/framing on my two VC grind combos are fucking amazing and really help to tie the video together and show off the stunt as a whole instead of just a few fleeting seconds. Sick work.

Stunting wise everyone had quality stuff in the video, really dug Sheeptea's LC skimmer bump - have looked at that spot multiple times with multiple setups ie BSM, CSM or even gap to bump but never really thought of using the Skimmer for it (that and the fact I usually get frustrated with the runup), well done on that! AllBeast - sorry, Lance had some sick stuff such as the Ocean Beach BSM. J.Mario's LC roof grind combo was enjoyable too, super simple but it looked stylish as fuck as did D.Super's packer grind combo. Also thanks for the positive comments on my stunts, interesting what you achieve when you put some effort in for once.

It pretty much gets said everytime a video of a decent scale gets released but it really is nice that even in a time of relative inactivity we can still come together and put out a solid enjoyable video. Big respect to everyone involved in this project, and here's to the next one!

WH Video Releases / Re: Burn - Meditation II
« on: May 21, 2019, 05:42:15 AM »
Firstly a big thanks for the whole live premiere thing; was initially a bit skeptical of it but turned out to be an enjoyable evening and it's nice to get a bunch of us together talking shit and enjoying videos.

Secondly, what a fucking video; you don't have to like/be a fan of the stunter/editor to recognize the amount of work and dedication that goes into a project like this, especially given the lackluster response you get with GTAS diminishing activity so well done to the both of you for seeing it through.

I would do a full review but SA has never been my repertoire and I'm not really keyed into big air physics however I will say some of those combos were mind blowing, my favorites of which would be the SA grind reverse stoppie to grind, the roof combo in United, grab to grind in LV and the LS reverse stoppie bump to grind combo; you have an eye for some ridiculous spots others would simply pass over or regard as being dead spots.

Editing wise I have no qualms with it, I know some others slated the editing but despite a few camera angles I would have changed up I thought the video was fluent, enjoyable and helped set the tone and pace for the stunts themselves. In my opinion it was pretty heinous to use the VAST song from TOAS and I know I wasn't the only one watching Meditation II but having the stunts from TOAS playing in my head - that being said it's your video and ultimately your choice so if you're happy with it who gives a shit  :cc_detective:

Solid video, well done to the both of you.
