Aye, as for LOTR, there are 3parts as well.

  • The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
  • The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
  • The Hobbit: There and Back Again

The last one should be out around summer :P

Oh dammit.. That's more than a year, even Interstellar is gonna be released earlier.. They just want me to be bloody excited.. :(

By the way, how did you like the dragon (just anyone)? Want more people's opinions.

Everything about Smaug was perfect except for making him unable to get easy kills. That was one of the things I didn't enjoy much of DOS - the unexpected escapes of death. And when Thorin fell on Smaug's mouth and then was able to jump away without being roasted or eaten.. that was the cherry of the cake. Somewhat similar situations were seen earlier in the movie too. Some people justify these situations with the fact that the story is written after Bilbo's experience and since it's a tense run, he has sort of done a further decoration of the story as Gandalf says in Unexpected Journey.

The CG was fantastic, the character was eh.

^also on what Turok said, they kind of slip away with it in the movie by saying "He's gotten old and slow" or something like that, which is kind of cheap. But you know, it "works".

Yeah, he was badass for all the time. But as I already said, I kinda didn't like when he was screaming, the voice was losing its effect. The same goes for Bane from TDKR, in front of the jail, he was also kind of screaming and his voice didn't sound as badass as in the previous scenes.

Also don't forget that Bilbo was writing that book, he could've made up whatever he wanted. I  liked the dialogue between Bilbo and the dragon as well. Which is something that some people I know didn't like for some reason, or just that the dragon can speak in general. But in my opinion it would be boring if he couldn't speak, because then it would be just about pointless fighting only, so there wouldn't be any drama then.

/E:

Question

Will they go to the city or whatever it is where Aragorn grew up in the third Hobbit again (forgot the name ah, we have completely different names for that in our language)? Because if yes, there still might be a chance to see Aragorn, or just hear about him.

Pretty much everything's been said already so I will just give my 5 cents
I really dislike that 200pages book got extended to such a long movie, I haven't read it yet, I'm waiting till the last part comes out to rate it afterwards because usually books are way better, too bad there were some major spoilers in the lotr, but some stuff which I expected to happen didn't, looks like they kept it for the last part ;p
