hey guys
I'm defo gonna buy a new GFX card after christmas. Just dont know which one. Should I buy the ATI HD4870 or the ATI HD4850?

The 4850 starts at about 150€
The 4870 at about 220€..

Is the 4870 much better than the 4850?

4 + 8 + 5 + 0 = 17
1 + 7 = 8

4 + 8 + 7 + 0 = 19
1 + 9 = 10
1 + 0 = 1

8 > 1

buy 4850.

He's just speaking about the numbers, seems like he doesn't know a shit, or it was a lame joke.

There should be some useful information if you have some time to read it. I'd wait for someone with more knowledge to post though, but yes, 4870 is the better one.

Buy HD 4830, OC and wala!'

You got an HD 4850.

Or just buy the HD 4870 for absolute ownage.

Or buy the HD 4850 X2 for fun

Or buy the HD 4870 X2 to have real absolute pwnage.

If you're really concerned about budget, may as well settle for 4850, but if you want it to be a little more future-proof 4870
