I played like 30 or 40 hours a few months back, haven't played since they patched in all the new stuff though

I'd recommend playing it with a friend or two since it gets pretty hectic once you defeated the hell boss, the wall of flesh. If you'd still like to solo it build a huge bridge in hell and use molten armor aswell as a demon scythe, a molten fury with hellbows and a minishark with silver bullets.

To feed of the tentacles, once they are detached just use your most powerful sword. Buffing yourself with the bowl of soup and ironskin can't hurt aswell.

The update is awesome once you got into hardmode :3 Wiring is awesome and you can build huge buildings with traps :>
