Rendered video doesn't looks like the original
« on: July 31, 2016, 06:53:53 AM »
ohai,

I got some Vegas Pro 09 issues, my cc doesn't look like the one I did in Vegas after rendering. my render setting are set to best so I don't understand why it doesn't looks as the preview. im rendering using Daffy's matroska most of the time but even with .wmv it looks brighter less contrasted well it looks shit. I searched on Google and all I found was some "pro" saying to adjust monitor lmao...

Apply Computer RGB to Studio RGB from the levels section in video effects and render again. Vegas uses computer RGB for the preview window, meaning the values range from [16,239] (or close to that) instead of [0,255]. But when rendering the [0,255] is used so it looks differently. If you want what you see in the preview add that effect to the whole layer and render.
EDIT://Small note, once you apply it the preview window will obviously change, just ignore it and render. The output should look like the preview without the effect applied.

Did you apply it to the master video bus or just one track? CTRL+Shift+B then click the green plugin button (it's darker than the others and says "Video Output FX") and apply it there.

Failing that this thread may help

i'm not a pro at this too, but i remember i had almost similar problem to this (i just don't remember fully) and i fixed it by clicking project properties, then i changed the pixel format to "32bit fully range" or something like this and compositing gamma set to 2,222 like in 8bit version, then i rendered and it was good.

Add "brightness and contrast" change it a bit and try to render again. ;)
