Hello and thanks for checking! I've played and stunted GTA since i was a kid, but only recently discovered the tons of videos on youtube. I found this place through one of this videos and I'm glad to be here.
This is my second try at a stunt montage (or any video for that matter) I hope you guys enjoy!

Hey there,

It's always nice to have new people join the forums. The video was pretty nice. It had a nice vibe to it. The editing was simple and smooth and the music fit that. It gave a really nice feel in my opinion.

You have some nice stunts, the finisher was pretty decent, you've got a couple of grinds, and you land on a moving train. That's pretty sweet. Variety is always great to see. Keeps things fresh.

As for constructive criticism:

  • Try to stick landings. In a few stunts you land on roofs and then fall to the street or a lower platform (1:24 .etc). It may take more tries but sticking a landing and staying on a roof shows you intended to get there and you made it. That stunt with the chain of roof bumps (0:59) was really cool, but you went off the last roof and into the street. It makes it look as if the series of stunts was either unintentional or you thought "this is good enough"
  • Although I think it's cool that you got some grinds in there, try to challenge yourself to add a little flair to it. Maybe a rotation before/after the grind or even a flip. The grind at the mansion (2:43) in the hills was cool but very vanilla.
  • 2:15 was a very solid grind in my opinion, the bump isn't straight so you had to hit it at just the right angle.
  • Simple jumps with just flips (0:45, 0:49 .etc) or low roofs seem like filler. They don't add an element of excitement.

You've got potential, you've got an eye for areas and you've obviously got the passion. My advice is to find easy spots and make them more technical. That's the way I practised and got better at stunting. Hit a rail until you've got it in your pocket and then add something to it that makes it really difficult again. Hit a bump until you land on a high platform, once you've got that down, try for a narrower more technical platform or try for the rail on top of the roof.

I'm looking forward to your next video. When you post it,  I'll come watch it :)

wow, thank you so much for taking the time to watch and write up such an awesome critique !
i'll take all of that into consideration for my next videos.
more precision, bigger jumps with less filler and try to tech it out.
i'm inspired, getting back on now to practice.
thanks again.
