Where'd you get that information? The 2500k has a clock speed at 3,3GHz and turbo at 3,7Ghz.
Anyways, with that, all is good. Are you setting up a brand new computer then? I mean, you'll need a new motherboard for the CPU, probably a new power supply so you can run the new parts properly, etc.
I think your best bet would be to just set up a new one.

Depends on the rest of your computer, a high-end graphics card won't do you much good if you have a slow CPU. You should share your specs.
