Mechanical keyboards.. are they worth the extra penny ? Anyone here with experience with em' ?

My problem with mechanical keyboards is that they're too loud. If they made mechanical keyboards more silent than a latenight jerk I'd buy one.

Cherry MX Red  or Brown is the way to go, if you gonna buy it for gaming and not for writing.

Well if I'm getting one, this is the one I've been looking at.

CM Storm Quickfire TK with Cherry MX red's.




The noise could develope a problem since my parents sleep in the next room.

Mine too, but they never woke up/couldn't sleep because of it and the wall is pretty thin.
