Hi folks!
Been wanting to do this for quite a while now, and have finally got around to doing it.
Picked all my favourite stunts I've done over the years and collected them together into one video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heqlLT5-4Lk (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heqlLT5-4Lk)
No other links at the moment alas (I've got no idea where's good for uploading anymore), and quality of the stream may not be perfect (my first time uploading to youtube). I've still got the originals, so one or both of these issues may be solved at some point.

I had some good fun with Freeplay while recording stunts for this, I even added another feature, so look out for an update to that in a little bit. I was also pondering releasing the source for both the USCM and Freeplay at the same time as this, if anyone's interested, so perhaps stay tuned for that too.

Big thanks to the GTAStunting community & members, and everyone involved in keeping it running.
Also big thanks to everyone in ATS past and present, for being a fantastic source of fun and inspiration since my very beginning - I wont forget that some of you actually reviewed my very first released video 'Vertigo'. Good times!
Cheers,
Dannye

Great video ! Truly enjoyed that clean edit, those freeplay angles were nice but a bit too much for my taste...the stunts are epic!! this realy feels like a legendary stunter video^^
-
Those camera angles with the new freeplay feature look so fucking sick!
I loved the style of stunts in this, everything was so good. Thanks for making this, I thoroughly enjoyed watching it.
-
Apologies to those who find the beginning of the video 'lacking'. It would appear I poured everything I had left into the 'Yeah Baby' intro - I tried to do something for this, but nothings left in the tank! And to those who don't like the intros anyway, you're in for a treat! Hehe.

Awesome video man! Truly enjoyed that simple and clean edit, those freeplay angle where seriously great. It was great to rewatch some of those stunt after long time although I don't remember all of them, that finisher was just awesome!
-
Some very nice camera creations, like the tank flying over the park at 4:52. But 3:40 has to be my favorite. Very enjoyable, sometimes the Freeplay felt overused, but that's because of the amount of stunts. Overall a great watch with good looking stunts.
-
really cool video.clean editing means your time. :)
-
Amazing video in every aspect. You changed the face of stunting by not only landing impressive and innovative stunts but also inventing the two most useful things for stunting and editing - USCM and Freeplay. Thank you for that, you're the man. :ajaja:
-
You have always been one of the most original members in my eyes and this collection of your favorites has cemented that even more. All the stunts looked like pure fun and not like you were trying to impress the people strolling around the place which is something i wished to see more often.
Loved every single stunt in this video - no exaggerations... :) :jajaja:
As for the editing; it's perfect the way it is. Since the video kept being interesting all the way through, why would you need any effects? Heh. The angles were awesome. Never seen anybody use them like that throughout the video and that's another unique quality added to this piece.
-
No one will forget you . OverGreat video 100/10 ;D . Thank you for all , Dannye :jajaja:
-
Absolutely lovely man, you sure have your unique style. The edit was simple but great, wasn't too fond of some of the camera angles, but I must admit that new feature even had me excited, and I don't even edit  I can't think of a standout stunt, they all just seemed like you knew what you wanted and you got it, and that just makes them oh so much better. This video is you, and it's great.
I'd also like to thank you for making stunting so much easier, if it weren't for you I don't think many people would have kept going for so long. You seem like one hell of a guy and I'm sure you have inspired so many people to keep doing what they love.
-
Thanks for all the kind words guys, it is greatly appreciated.
It was great to rewatch some of those stunt after long time although I don't remember all of them, that finisher was just awesome!
There's a few stunts in there which for one reason or another never found a video to call home and so hadn't seen the light of day until now ;)
Regarding the new Freeplay 'feature', I suppose its more combining two existing features: putting a cinematic camera wherever you want & being able to move a frozen camera => moving the position of a cinematic camera, and the game does all the hard work of aiming it at the player/vehicle for us! Quite simple as it turned out (thankfully!)
-
Great video with nice feeling. :)
-
That camera angles :o Awesome vid. Mistr Dannye.
-
Beautiful collection of gems right there. Great video, those camera movements really sooth the eye.
-
That was simply beautiful. Thank you so much for what you've done for the community
-
Very good video! Nice edit! ;D
-
You are the most meaningful member of this community in my eyes, the community wouldn't have been the same without you. Both USCM and Freeplay have made everything more fun and easy, I think the community wouldn't last to this day without these tools. The video was amazing, I loved the stunts and new Freeplay features you've presented in this. Everything was lovely, really. You are awesome, keep on rocking with whatever you do! :D
-
Its now been alot better kind of day sir!
Stunts were always great, and now this with tandem is sweet way to scout ideas for a good stunt session.
Nice selection of music, it was energetic and upbeat and felt fitting, and was kind of bittersweet at the end.
You know how i feel about freeplay! I'll be waiting for it to drop!
Keeping it brief. just overall awesome man and thanks again.
-
Thanks for the christmas present mate, I loved it!
Stunting wouldn't be the same without your stunting tools.
-
first you fuckers
e/ AMAZING video, it was such a surprise and I haven't seen some of these stunts, can't find words atm, you have been such a meaningful stunter over this years, with your tools you've made stunting a lot better, as Prz said, probably it wouldn't have lasted this long.
One of a kind video, hands down.
-
wat
that was very unexpected  you have lots of crazy ideas dude, specially your tank stunts, love them :P
amazing camera work, some movements look like the sa action film camera :P
Stunting wouldn't be the same without your stunting tools.
damn right
-
i still hope that SA freeplay will work as it works in VC
-
It was the most beautiful stunting video in vc, than I've seen. Cameras were amazing.
Awesome best of, I glad to see one more video from you :)
-
Hands down Dannye, you are the man here. :)
Thanks for the USCM and the Freeplay, the community can't be the same editing- and stuntingwise.
Your stunting style is something like can't be done again, you are unique, and this is just respectable.
Thanks again for the innivations you've did, and good luck in the future whatever you do.

What a day it has been indeed...
on-topic: Epic video man :a-cheer: Those camera angles and stunts were sweet as always when you produce something. One question btw: where was the infernus wallride over the water in the outro first used?

That was amazing, lovely stunts. Everything here was so cool.
Liked of cam angles too, good job.
-
No Dannye, thank you. If I ever get around to voting for video of the year, this'll be it. You're the biggest contributor of every member here and this video is a great way to show that off. Merry Christmas dude.
-
Cheers everyone!
I have posted the new Freeplay:

[VC-only, sorry SA editors :( ]
If someone using XP and/or 32bit OS can confirm that the thing actually runs that'd be handy. I compiled the latest version on my 64bit Windows 7 machine so cannot check that myself too easily.
-
so awesome since 2004, unbelievable!
-
Woohoo :D very nicely edited, you not only excel stunting but also have been one of the most valuable members of the community there's ever been with your work on the main.scm, the freeplay and so on. Hats off to you sir for a great vid. For everything, thank you :)
And gimme dat new freeplay! :D you ain't the only one that's been toying with the idea of making a best-of haha.
-
Holy shit, that was amazing. Thanks a lot for that freeplay VC add-on. I love you <3
-
.
-
holy shit this is awesome!!!
-
Congratulations for such an amazing video and thanks for all the insane contribution to stunting!
-
Fantastic video man, you are one of the most versatile stunters out there and this video showcased that brilliantly. It was a joy to watch.
You're a huge inspiration to many members here (including me) not just as a stunter but as a person, you're always so helpful and nice, so thanks for that man. And last, even though we can never thank you enough, thank you sooo much for creating the uscm and freeplay, we'd be lost without 'em :D
-
Yes post the source for Freeplay! That would be awesome what language did you use again? C or C++?
Killer video dude! Didn't really dig the PotF soundtrack but the camera angles made up for it.
-
Thankyou everyone!!
I have done an improved render which I am happy with, and although I am having some major problems with uploading at the moment, hopefully I'll have it up somewhere soon to be downloaded by anyone interested in grabbing a copy that hasn't been through youtube.
To answer the above question, Freeplay was developed in C++.
-
Awesome video from every aspects, you have had an incredible career. When I saw 2004-2012, I felt something undescribable, and this is what makes a person a determinative and symbolic icon of stunting.
All stunts were pure epicness and memomable ones, can't forget them! Editing was sooo neat and smooth, everything was just perfect here. I guess I have found my winner to this year. :a-cheer:
Also I would like to say a huge thanks to you for doing those really helpful things to all of us, stunting wouldn't be the same without you!
-
I have uploaded it for the moment at:
https://dl.dropbox.com/s/8l7t7ee8iv1w24c/What Kind Of Day Has It Been.part1.rar?dl=1 (https://dl.dropbox.com/s/8l7t7ee8iv1w24c/What Kind Of Day Has It Been.part1.rar?dl=1)
https://dl.dropbox.com/s/oyoarlkh2sr33zj/What Kind Of Day Has It Been.part2.rar?dl=1 (https://dl.dropbox.com/s/oyoarlkh2sr33zj/What Kind Of Day Has It Been.part2.rar?dl=1)
Not ideal, split over two rar's... that would be due to the upload issues I mentioned.
I am hoping someone will be able to download it and re-upload it (as just the complete video file) somewhere better for us.
-
holy shit i don't remember seeing that stoppie2wallride/slip2grind, amazing
-
Amazing video! Music rocks, editing rocks and stunts were classic. I really remember you from 2006 when I started stunting and watched your and ATS's vids and practiced my stunting skills. GTAS will never forget you! God bless you. :)
-
All I can say is thank you, for everything. You make it all fun and this video is the epitome of that dude :)
-
Amazing!
Man, nobody will forgot you.
I'm not a VC stunter, and i'll remember you.
Your programs, USCM, Freeplay...
You are great, 8 years of stunt...
Have you ever wanted back to the past? In the beggining of stuntung? Just to remember the good times?
-
Wow, just wow. Perfect executed stunts (that plane one at the ring :P), with good taste music and AWESOME camera angles, seriously, some were mindblowing hehe One of the best videos I've ever seen, you seem to have put a lot of work on recording, because it was so well done. Good job :D

Dropbox is an option too :)
-
Yo! I don't know what to say...mainly because I haven't finished the video yet but I'm stopping you at 5:03...
That tank flying through the park...literally just became a highlight of my stunting! I can see your new freeplay feature and the creativity it will bring some of these guys will be remarkable.
Rock on man
-
Dannye. I have to say thank you for this video and i think the whole community should say the same because, you reminded me the original meant of stunting. I almost cryed the first part of the video....
This video is one of my favourite videos now. Thank you!
P.S. : Happy New Year!
-
Oh this gives me goosebumps. Excellent video Dannye, in really every aspect. I love these songs, the editing spiced up by your tool fits very well, the stunts are awesome. Overall this video has really an unique atmosphere. Gonna download this piece of art and put it in my never-gonna-delete-these-videos folder.
All the best.
-
Fantastic video dude, loved every single aspect of it. You are a truly legendary stunter/member of this forum, thanks for everything! :)
-
Wow... great video, Dannye! You've always been one of my absolute favorite stunters to watch over the years, and this video is perfect evidence of why. Good work man :)
-
Thanks again everyone for the kind feedback.
I had been looking at the Freeplay source in preparation to release it, however in doing so I found myself really disliking it - it didn't seem fair to share it in its current state. So I have been spending my time recently rewriting it to make it better. No new features, just some under-the-hood kinda stuff, and a couple bug-fixes. Anyway, this is still in progress, I'll try to keep you updated.
-
The best thing I could hope for on a sporadic visit to GTAS. Everything inspirational about stunting in one video! I can truly say that New Breed would not have evolved without your influence both in terms of stunting and editing. Freeplay is the best thing to happen to stunt videos, fact.
Thanks for the encore man!
-
Dannye you can work main.scm for gta3? Please!
