windows 8 ...
« on: September 16, 2013, 04:14:14 AM »
hi. I'm running preinstalled win8 on my pc for a while now and everything ran fine until some bug appeared.
when playing a game for a few hours the pc slows down rapidly at a certain point. pressing alt+tab reveals the problem. it seems there are apps opened although they are not named or open in any way. checking the taskmanager and running several programs didn't solve the problem. after restarting the pc the bug disappears until it reappears and slows down everything again.

so if anyone has a clue how to fix this feel free to answer :)

Does windows 8 actually have a task manager with a 'processes' tab where you can see what these are?
Could also be pre-installed software by the manufacturer running in the background.

If your computer brand is HP, Fujitsu, Acer or something like that, they usually have a lot of useless stuff running in the background. Just do a clean Windows 8 install without utilities and you should be ready to go.
