In this tutorial you will learn how to create a colorfull effect.
It gives a nice result and it can be done really easy!
For this tutorial i made a start PSD for you all.
Which i also used in this tutorial so feel free to use it or use your own piece of artwork.

This effect looks best when it comes from behind an object. In this tutorial it comes from behind a cloud.
If your using my PSD u want to start behind the cloud layer.
Before we begin u want to set-up ur brush. You dont have to download any brushes.
You can just use one which comes with Photoshop but u will have to adjust it.
You want to be using a soft brush and hard size is prefered. Then set you brush mode to
DissolveAlso set the brush opacity to
50%. Ofcourse the lower the opactiy, less spray effect you get).
If you are going to use this effect its important to select colors that are bright.
Ofcourse there are exceptions and you can pick dark colors.
But colors that work best are
white, yellow, magenta, purple, cyan, pink etc.For the starters make the foreground color
white.
Start underneath the object layer (In my PSD case the cloud).
Start brushing with
single clicks around the edges of the object.
Right now the specks dont look much like spray. But dont worry..!
We are going to fix this problem very easy. All you have to do is to go to
Edit > Transform > ScaleThen make it around 80% of the original layer. Hold shift to keep constrained proportions.
Resizing the layer gives the effect of varying brightness and size of the individual pixels which were very uniform before.
I think the effect is better when the spray fades out.
So to do this grab your eraser tool and get a large
soft brush (100-300px).
Erase some dust that haves to much vaerying volume in different parts of the layer.
Changing the blending will sometimes make the spray look better.
I use the following modes:
Overlay, Linear Dodge, Color Dodge and Screen.
Ofcourse wich each background the setting is different so just experiment.
Also a good way to increase spray effect is duplicating the spray layer...!
Now repeat the steps, and use different colors..
