Scariest games you ever played

I didn't think the water part was scary at all At first I was like wtf but when I realized what to do it was nothing too bad. Way less than sitting in the dark and hearing something growl.

at one point I even started jumping around him in the water dodging him and then suddenly he disappeared, as if I danced him away or something

Half life 2  I was young and those zombie fockers were running on the walls!

Same lol, at one point I thought those little and black zombies looking like spiders woukd get through my scree -n and hit me

Remember? You need to open an iron door , in a controlling room at this part. I opened it, and have ran in the water with the monster behind me, I have ran over the door, and it's closed, with the monster in the other side. I started laughing... but I heard a creepy noise behind me, another monster came.. fuck... I tought ^^ But the second monster is eating the human body if you throw it to the water.

I started to download Penumbra Requiem and Black Plague, I'm really interested. I have played only with Penumbra E.1 but it was a shit. But the 2 new one looks very nice with creepy enemies

Oblivion...its not like the game itself is scary but when playing a thief I always jump when guards out of nowhere yells "STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM" while I'm browsing through a room for valuable stuff to steal.

The only thing I remember that terrified me in a game were those little creepy crawlies in the air vents of Half-Life 1. What are the system requirements for Amnesia? I kinda spoiled it for my self tho cause I watched half of the game's walkthrough on youtube (doh)

I thought I'd posted this already, but it seems I had forgotten.

Drakengard was my first 18+ game, which I got when I was 12. It's not brutal or full of gore (there's some but not enough to get worked up about) the thing about Drakengard is it's got the most amazing atmosphere and gameplay, while having cutscenes which are going to make you turn your ps2 off. And I mean that in a good way.

@MMM: Requirements aren't that high I think. And trust me, even if you think you know everything, you'll still be surprised. I was watching some guy's commentary play through for a few episodes and then decided I wanted to do it too. So I rushed through the part which I had seen thinking nothing would happen, suddenly I turn around a corner and BAM, a monster. I seriously yelled OOOEHAH out loud and nearly shit my pants, because I never saw it coming
