TMS History Page

In the beginning...

The history of TMS starts in the early SA ps2 days. Buzzsaw and Gotups made really impressive ps2 stunt vids which inspired other people to start stunting. The first XSA crew vid "Domination" was released and people like JDHJJ, Turtle Dick, DeathCobra, smallbrady89 and Sean Johnson aka Sweet started making a few ps2 videos. JDHJJ joined the unknown BaseMent crew, while DeathCobra joined XSA.

Twisted Metal Stunters

June 18th - 19th 2005
Turtle Dick, JDHJJ and Sweet continued making solo vids. When Turtle Dick released his third ps2 solo vid, "Destruction", Juan (of XSA) wondered why the three of us didn't form a crew.
JDHJJ left the BaseMent crew and later that evening the three of us started a new crew.

June 20th 2005
Sweet released "DeVasTATiOn", a really bad quality vid with awesome ps2 stunts. With the SA-PC version being released a few days ago, Calcos joined the unnamed crew. JDHJJ and Calcos were discussing the crew name when Calcos came up with "Twisted Metal Stunters". Sweet and Turtle liked it, so TMS was born.
JDHJJ changed his name to Elmo.

June 21th 2005
"Crash Course" was released, a PC SA collab vid which featured Calcos.
TMS was impressed by Calcos' stunts, but Calcos quit TMS and joined WH. Sweet went beserk.

Later that week TMS asked smallbrady89 to make an audition vid.
A few days later he made one, called "Superbrady", and got in.

June 28th 2005
Elmo released "Hydra", the best SA plane stunt vid at the moment which still impresses today.

July 10th 2005
Sweet and Turtle wanted to make a VC vid, but both really sucked back then. So they decided to ask Kingjad to feature in the vid, and also edit it.
After some long thinking Kingjad said "aye", and the next day he joined TMS.

July 13th - 14th 2005
Kingjad opened the BETA version of the TMS website, which was a good way to inform people Smallbrady89 has been given the boot due to lack of sending stunts and showing interest.
Although it's a shame to lose someone at this stage TMS are looking for people who regulary communicate with each other and keep each other updated on how good (or bad) their stunting's going as of late.

The next week everything went smoothly, apart from Sweet and Elmo (who changed his name to Fate) having occasional fights, and the crew started working on the first VC crew vid.

The Boys Are Back In Town

July 21st 2005
kert6699 released his second SA PC solo vid which impressed the SA stunters of TMS, and they asked Kert to join. A few hours later wite_gangsta joined after releasing his VC vs SA solo vid.

The good news just keeps on coming as the VC and LC crew movie entitled 'The Boys are Back in Town' will be released in time for the weekend. Editing is ongoing as we speak, and early indications are that it'll be an enjoyable debut movie for all to enjoy.

July 23th 2005
TMS have finally released their first crew video, entitled "The Boys are Back in Town", and despite a hiccup with WMM being incredibly evil to Kingjad, the video was uploaded anyway as trying to re-synch everything just wouldn't be done before he lost his marbles.
The vid got some good replies as we were a young crew, and everyone knew we would improve alot in the future.
The succesful completion of the video has earned Kingjad a small break from stunting around and has left his fellow members to fix the SA crew video themselves, confident of their abilities.

Kingjad does a major upheavel on the TMS website, re-locates it too, and everyone re-joices - it looks awesome.

July 31st 2005

The start of the GTAStunting.com Tournament - where Sweet and Turtle did TMS proud, Turtle reaching the last 8 and losing to ATS' ZeroX.  Both Kingjad and Sweet lost out to the eventual finalists, Daffy and Kaneda, and Kaneda won the tournament.

August 26th 2005

After many days of uploading problems, Kingjad has finally been able to contribute to the SA crew video by uploading the bloody thing! Edited by wite_gangsta, it features wite's stunts as well as stunts from Kert6699, Sweet and Turtle Dick and is a most enjoyable video.

Alitude received good feedback - wite had done a great editing job and all the stunts were nice.

September 10th 2005

Fate leaves TMS after continual arguements with Sweet - just as Kingjad was working on the TMS VC crew video, which would have two very special guests - Kaneda of ATS, and Juan of XSA.

September 21st 2005

theantidote joins TMS just in time to submit replays for the VC crew video, after impressing with his audition video.

A day later, Sweet and Fate do a Vice City collab together, "Death", and not a bad one at that.

October 9th 2005

Turtle Dick is part of a San Andreas video called "Atelophobia", which also featured Tackleberry, Omni and DeathCobra (the latter two of XSA).  It gains rave reviews, as Turtle's SA PC skills are at least just as good as his skills were on the PS2.

Lights Out is released to put TMS on the map

10/10/05 - After much replay-chasing by Kingjad, the brand-spanking new VC crew video is here and it totally kicks arse! It consists of 8 stunters, including special guests Juan, of XSA, and Kaneda, of ATS.
"Lights Out" was done on Windows Movie Maker, by Kingjad's choice, and despite an error on Kingjad's part with editing which made everything a tad jumpy the video went down very well. TMS gained a lot of recognition that day, and the rest of TMS were thankful that Kingjad's editing was a lot better than the calibre of his own stunts.

Between the time "Boys Are Back In Town" and "Lights Out" were released, Sweet worked on several SA solo projects, while Kert had gotten VC and made a few solos there himself - he quickly got the hang of things.

October 14th 2005
Tackleberry joins TMS and is instantly told he's the new San Andreas video-editor! He impressed all in TMS with his stunts in 'Atelophobia', and TMS seems to be gaining an awful lot more praise from folk as the crew works on another San Andreas crew video - with everyone in the crew now on the PC version of San Andreas (except Kingjad).

October 30th 2005
Aries says he wants to leave WH and join TMS - we ask him to make a small audition video, which he does.  TMS liked it enough to agree to Aries' pleas and TMS gleefully snap him up.  It was on the day before the release of the San Andreas crew video which would really change everyone's opinion of TMS for the better.

Aftershock

October 31st 2005
The plan to release "Aftershock", the SA crew video on Halloween, goes ahead, and Tackleberry's editing is quite astonishing.  Not only that, the stunts too had everyone praising the video day and night.  Those who avoid San Andreas videos in preference to Vice City were still praising this video, and TMS were now considered one of the main crews around - there was even talk of a spot being offered to them on GTAStunting.com.

November 5th 2005
theantidote leaves TMS and joins up with Enigma and Daffy at ZS - as ZS had seemingly fallen apart with Samurai and Barney and NightFear all leaving.

More bad news was to follow; XSA and GVT would be given deserved spots on GTAStunting.com, but there was none given to TMS - it was too soon apparently, TMS were too young a crew.

This was met with quite a strong roar of disapproval by many at GTAS, like Marklund, ZeroX and the general public, truth be told - a poll showed people wanted TMS to get a section the most out of all the other crews in the poll except to XSA, who they were behind - in other words, they were second in the poll (Ahead of GVT) and GVT were seemingly rewarded with a spot because they were a vintage crew, and Andyroo had been planning on doing so for a good while.  ZeroX raised some hell and him and MA's animosity grew more intense - but all Kingjad was caring about was how much pressure there now was on him to deliver the goods on the next Vice City crew video.  Nothing could top 'Aftershock', it seems...

November 7th 2005

Sweet is one of many great stunters to appear in 'Crash Course 2'

November 19th 2005

m3rrix makes an audition with LC, VC and SA in it - the crew love what they see and welcome m3rrix on-board.

November 29th 2005
Kingjad finally gets "Exhilaration" released and people agree it's an improvement on Lights Out.

With stunts by Aries (first TMS appearance), Kert (note the name change :P ), Kingjad (don't worry, it's his last), m3rrix (auditioned and got in TMS at last second in time for video), Sweet (typical cabbie-whore) and Turtle Dick (he's from Belgium), it's a very entertaining effort which has been edited in Vegas by Kingjad - it's ten minutes long but it'll be a wonderful ten minutes, won't it?

Kert and m3rrix steal the show, but sadly wite gangsta misses out due to a wrist injury, and not able to submit stunts in time.

Aries was in a collab with Kaneda, Samurai (his two favourite stunters) and Omni too, in a kick-arse video called 'Quattro'.

XSA/TMS collab astounds the stunting wordl

10/12/05 - It is finally here - an idea a few members had been toying around with for ages, it was finally put into action and it was better than anyone could have expected. Arguably the two best crews in San Andreas Stunting joined forces to pull off jaw-dropping stunt after jaw-dropping stunt Omni of XSA edited the main part whereas Tackleberry of TMS edited the intro, with the intro idea from XSA's Kr3mlin. Download "As One" by clicking here.

Kert releases a brilliant solo with a special appearance by fellow TMS member Turtle Dick, entitled 'Solitary'.  It is a San Andreas stunt video, and being released on the same day as the XSA and TMS collab 'As One' shows folk how Kert can manage to get an incredible amount of quality stunts seemingly with ease.

Meanwhile, Sweet releases his 20th video he's appeared in, and his 10th solo - 'So What' features a couple of stunts by Kert and Turtle Dick, but this stunt video in VC and LC is all about the skills of Sweet and how far he's come.  He doesn't disappoint.

Christmas video for seasonal period

23/12/05 - The TMS crew have made a themed video for Christmas, which has both San Andreas and Vice City present. Only wite gangsta couldn't star in the video sadly, but the rest of the crew were able to submit voice clips. The end result is based on reality, as Aries is getting San Andreas for Christmas - and will likely concentrate more on that than Vice City. And so Kingjad is left alone, all alone, in Vice City, while the rest of the crew have a blast in San Andreas.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL, FROM TWISTED METAL STUNTERS!

GTAS Forum Awards 2005 - Results

At the end of 2005, the first anual GTAS Forum Awards took place. TMS didn't expect such a young crew to win any awards, so we were rather surprised by the results.

2006 - Year of activity and changes

January 1st 2006
Kert and Tackleberry kick off the new year in spectacular fashion, releasing 'Never Gonna Stop'.  This San Andreas stunt video received rave reviews, and the dedication to Kingjad meant a lot to him.

TMS hits the crew network

January 6th 2006
Sadness and Fugitive both audition for TMS and both are accepted.

January 8th 2006
TMS are given a spot on the crew network - a proud day for the TMS veterans who have helped TMS achieve a lot in such little time.  However, one veteran wasn't able to enjoy the occassion much because Sweet's computer kept playing funny buggers, and for now Sweet was out of stunting until things could get repaired.

January 13th 2006
Tackleberry releases a themed vid entitled 'My Name is Bart Ader', with voices from Kingjad and Mxyzptlk.  It is a comedic themed video and well put-together.

February 3th 2006
wite_gangsta decided to leave. TMS kinda saw it coming though as wite didn't have much time to stunt anymore and his 12 year old attitude annoyed the hell out of us. His last TMS vid was "Aftershock", at least he left in style!

February 7th 2006
TMS is proud to announce that Brainkiller, a former .:vERt:. member, joined the crew.
Despite having chosen a - how should I put it - 'different' song, the stunts impressed and BK gets welcomed in the crew.

February 12th 2006
Aries finished the new VC crew vid "Step Up" featuring special guest Lord Peres.

Later that day, Daf-Fy! joined after auditioning with his new solo - Blackout 2.

February 15th 2006
The new SA vid, "Out Of Reach" is finally out! Excellent editing by Tackleberry and awesome stunts by all of TMS.

February 18th 2006
This was a sad day for TMS as both Kingjad and Tackleberry left TMS. Tackleberry decided to completely stop stunting cause he got sick of it and wanted to spend his time doing something else. Xtramus, of USS, called Kingjad a complete nutcase for leaving, but TMS respected his decision.

One week later Kingjad missed TMS so damn much and finally rejoined the crew he helped and loved for over half a year now.

March 04 2006
Daf-Fy! left TMS and joined the recently restarted Dark Army crew. It was his dream to stunt with stunting legends NightKnight and Ramboy, so TMS wished him all the best in his new crew.

March 25th 2006
m3rrix finishes the new VC collab with Wasteland Heroes which is also the first and last vid starring Daf-Fy! as a TMS member, "To The Mattress", and for the second time in 2006 Kert is in two videos on the same day - a San Andreas bicycle collab with kr3mlin called 'Rakish'.

m3rrix got pretty busy in real life and decides to take a big stunting break. TMS wished him good luck and we hope he'll return soon.

Time for some new blood

April 30th 2006
ExPlosion made an impressive SA audition which got him into TMS. We are proud to have this talented French stunter stunt with us.

May 6th 2006
Kert releases his last VC solo vid called "Bad Obsession".

May 14th 2006
SA stunting legend Juan decided to leave XSA and to join TMS. Juan technically is the one who started TMS, as he gave Turtle Dick, JDHJJ and Sweet the idea to start a new stunt crew almost one year ago.

May 15th 2006
The long awaited crew collab "Delta", featuring stunts by TMS, USS and DSU, is finally released. This is the first crew collab with 3 crews in GTAStunting history.

May 25th 2006
Sweet's computer problems caused him to go mentally insane. He's forced to quit stunting although he hopes to stunt again someday...
Which he did, cause he started stunting again the next day.

Both Juan and Sweet released their new SA solo in the next week. Juan's "MDS2" and Sweet's "Revenge 2".

June 2006
Sadness finally finishes the new SA crew vid. "New Blood" introduces ExPlosion and Juan in their first TMS SA crew vid. Special guest: kr3mlin
Olly did a great editing job and decided to go on a wee break after this.

"Looking Back", a best off Kert and TD vid is released. Kert edited it so professionally it made Juan want to have a best off vid himself.

Juan and Sweet continued their solo spree. Sweet released another D-named solo "Dissimulation", while Juan released "Practise Makes Perfect", also featuring Sweet and THEFTman.

28th June 2006 - TMS' toughest day

Sweet leaves TMS due to some problems within the crew. Sweet joins XSA but remains friends with the crew members.
The next day, after a succesfull audition and alot of nagging, Falcon finally joins the crew.

June 30th 2006
Kert finishes the new SA crew vid "Illusions" after some paranoic nagging from Turtle Dick. The vid turned out pretty good, some people even said it's the best TMS SA vid yet.

July 18th 2006
"Titans" is released. Fugitive made this two man SA collab with ExPlosion with a clean editing style. Stunts were impressive, as expected from these talented stunters.

July 25th 2006
Juan finishes the new VC crew vid "Junto", and the video gets rave reviews from a lot of top-quality stunters who watch it.  Everyone taking part did something to impress (even Kingjad!) and it had plenty of stunters saying that Junto was TMS' best ever VC effort to date.

August 3rd 2006
After a lot of thinking Tackleberry decided he wants to join again. Everyone in TMS was surprised and they loved to have Tac back. This comeback brought TMS to 11 members. With Kingjad as a goalkeeper and Xplo & Fugi at the front there's nobody stopping us.

August 25th 2006
After 4 months of stunting, and 2 weeks of editing, Tackleberry released his biggest editing project yet. As One Again, the new TMS-XSA crew collab. The sequel to 'As One', released in December 2005, has some of SA's best stunts yet. Both crews stunted their asses off and came up with some creative and impressive ideas. Combine this with Tackleberry's editing and you get a pretty nice vid.

August 29th 2006
Vice City Reloaded, a new crewvid edited by Turtle Dick is released. This time we stunted in SAVC, the Vice City map for the SA engine. This is also TD's first big Vegas project. The idea was to land stunts that were both old and new to VC, while having fun in a crappy beta version of VC.

The next few weeks, Fugitive released 2 solo video's. A SA bicycle solo named "Destination", and "Raise Up", a VCLC taxi solo. These solo's showed some creative stunting, and an improvement editing wise.

September 18th 2006
"Invincible", the new VC crew video, gets released. This time edited by Brainkiller. BK chose an Underoath song for the main song, which was disliked by some, but loved by others. Neo Anderson made a sweet intro and also guested in this. This vid contained Falcon's last stunts as a TMS member cause he left/got kicked due to weird behaviour in the crew.

October 21st 2006
"Bamboocha" is released. Tackleberry edited this VC crew video and also stunted in it, since he started stunting in VC recently. As a new VC stunter he impressed many with creative stunts and editing. The video also welcomed PlethZorb in the crew.

November 2006
Eventhough he already quit stunting for a few months, Kert now officially leaves the crew and quits the stunting world. Much respect to Kert and we wish him good luck in his studies.

PlethZorb on the other hand shows his enthousiasm for stunting in a new solo video, "Suspension", edited by Tackleberry. This video has two parts, the first one containing his best past stunts, and the second part all new ones. Turtle Dick and Tackleberry guested in it.

Our Day Off - the start of a trilogy gets released, as stunters ExPlosion, NuclearDeath, Ostits, Sweet and Turtle Dick stunt their asses off during 24hours. Edited by ExPlosion, we produced a nice vid and had fun stunting for it which made us think of doing a sequal, this time in VC.

December 2006
Another Day Off - the sequal to ODO - gets released in a dual pack. Both ExPlosion and Ostits edited their version of the 24h VC vid, and produced a TMS and a XSA version. Both versions are enjoyable, and plans are rising of a 3rd final chapter.

The holidays are coming up and TMS decides to make a christmas themed stunt video. The plan was to make a 24h vid but with people living in different timezones it kinda got messy. Every stunter picked a day to do his 24h stunts on and sent the reps to Brainkiller.
Merry ChrisTMS got released on Christmas Eve and we all celebrated the birth of baby Jesus.

2007 - A new year, a fresh start

You'd think TMS had a good feeling about the new year after the Forum Award results, but that wasn't entirely true.
Quite a few people became less active, especially in the SA area. Kert and Juan focused on their studies, without showing their face on GTAS for months. Fugitive got hooked on WoW whilst Tackleberry went VC only.
Sadness went partying 24/7 which inspired Turtle Dick to become less active and become alot lazier.

Last Day Off - the final part in the 24h series - gets released. The goal was to make a SA 24h vid with ALL NEW stunts - some similar/variatons to old ones - which we succesfully acchieved. Very nice editing by ExPlosion again, who keeps getting better at his own editing style.

At the end of Juanuary, TMS recieved a surprisingly good audition from a VC stunter who's been around for a while. After discussing it within the crew, Denny got accepted. This hungarian stunter impressed us with his stunts, which would be shown in a new VC crew vid - originally going to be edited by Kingjad before he shat himself.

ExPlosion and Turtle Dick slowly stunted on for the upcoming SA crew vid, as it's been quite a few months since TMS released a proper SA only crew video. When ExPlosion took over Fugitive's role as the editor, things started to get moving again.
Juan came back out of nowhere, and sent his old replays. DeathCobra suggested a cool song, and Kert made a nice intro.
ExPlosion focused on his clean editing and released "Echo" on February 28th 2007. Most of the stunts were landed 6 to 8 months ago, but we still managed to produce an enjoyable video with ExPlosion as the star of the vid. Echo featured Tackleberry's last SA stunts, and Sadness' last appearance in a TMS video.

BooBies

10/03/07 - After an impressive and succesful audition, TMS welcomes former ZS members Slim and BoBsaget in the crew.
Both have a unique SA stunting style, and are motivated to start ripping it up in the VC engine aswell.

28/03/07 - Yep, another one. KillaMarci joins TMS after a kickass solo sized audition. Everyone - not being stupid - immediately voted Yes except for Kingjad, who often gets confused with multiple choice questions.

The end of a sad story

27/03/07 - Sadness wishes to no longer be a part of TMS. Olly lost interest in stunting a long time ago, but the fact that TMS had quite a few new faces made him feel thing weren't as they used to be.
We all miss his random msn talk, and we are proud to have stunted along the sides of this great swedish meatball.

New TMS logo

Tackleberry made a new logo which can be seen here.
A new logo calls for a new vid, and look what happened.
"Voyage", edited by Tackleberry, gets released. Voyage features the full TMS lineup (except for m3rrix), and has some creative stunts from everyone. Tackleberry chose the new Within Temptation song to edit to, which gave the vid a unique touch. Voyage even gets mentioned on the new GTAS Website - http://www.gtastunting.com/

Other recent videos include Leftovers - a cleaning-out-the-rep-folder video by Kert, Ostits and Turtle Dick. An enjoyable vid with a non-serious lighter feel due to Ostits fabulous editing.

Kert dropped by to present his last SA solo, No Way Out. Featuring alot of creative MTBike stunts, the vid is a huge succes as it is loved by the whole SA audience.

FFS - a SA 24h vid featuring BoBsaget, ExPlosion, KillaMarci and Turtle Dick. Editing by ExPlosion.
Fun Fact: The idea to make 24h vid started when Turtle Dick landed a grind which he didn't know where to use.

04/06/07 - Denny decided to leave the crew. Stunting started to get boring and he decided to stop. WoW had made another victim.

19/06/07 - TMS' second anniversary! Wooooooo!!!

A new SA Sequence vid gets released, made by BoBsaget. Sequence received alot of editing praising comments as Bob managed to produce a very smooth and enjoyable video.

27/06/07 - TMS received a late birthday present from XSA's Ostits, who after putting alot of thought into it decided to make the switch and to join TMS. We have no doubt Ostits will have a great time in TMS and we look forward to work with this Finnish pile of love.

To be continued...

2007->2010 - People joined and left.
DeathCobra, kr3mlin, Buzzsaw, NuclearDeath, Sadness
Dan, Macsta, Rusch69, KillaMarci

Other released videos include Overflow, Techjam, Chapter XXIII, 12B, Kindergarden, Sex, Drugs & Rock 'n Roll.

I got a few ideas for you. How about linking the vid name to the vid's download page? And the same with users, except that they link to the member's profile. It's a shame I can't remember dates of the top of my head, or I'd have written a USS history page with dates XD

IMO, the point of this is to let people know how TMS came together, and what we´ve done so far...
