Hi guys! Here comes a solution to the well-known mouse bug that makes it freeze and only get back working after pressing ESC several times.
Here is very complicated tutorial of how to fix it:
1. Download this. (https://www.sendspace.com/file/9zofe2)
2. Place the .dll file at your GTA root directory
3. Done
Also works on GTA Vice City. Tested on Windows 7 x64.

Exactly. Not only you but a lot of people, including me. Sometime ago I was looking for a solution for this problem here in gtas and only found this (http://www.gtastunting.net/index.php?topic=57986.0), what didn't helped me or even fixed the problem at all. If this is a solution discovered by Stevex years ago, I think that it should get a bigger attention or at least a (http://i.imgur.com/SdWW3vi.gif) tag on this thread to help the most of people. ;)

I've never seen this before even when searching for a solution to this problem, could've saved quite a lot of time and frustration since my game often crashes when using esc. Nice post Paull!

This doesn't happen to block the usage of the mouse's "extra" buttons (typically those on the the side for exmple)?
Can't seem to use them or activate them since a couple of days ago which happen to be when a started using this file.

It switches up the directinput mechanism, could be a conflict with that of your mouse drivers.

Dunno if it's related to this but now I can't RAD and turn at the same time, like I can only have 3 keys pressed at once.
Back to mashing the ESC key.

Just for the information, I use that .dll file for a pretty long time now and never encountered any problems at all (in VC). It's not the .dll file that fucks it up if you are experiencing problems in VC.

I've never had any trouble with this. I'm stunting on SA and VC normally using the file, but I think that I have a solution to you:
Go to regedit, find the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Kbdclass/Parameters; find the value "KeyboardDataQueueSize", put it as decimal, change the value
to 200 and press ok. Now you can press to 7 keys at the same time. It should solve your problem :)
