Title: Amped 2 - Community Movie
Post by: Daffy on December 28, 2006, 03:01:38 PM: Exactly, at this time, this very minute was when the first Amped was released a year ago.
1 year / 12 months / 52 weeks / 365 days / 8760 hours / 525600 minutes / 31536000 seconds
has passed since that day and here we are, one year later with a new San Andreas Community Stunt Movie.

I must apologize for all the delays, i managed to lose all the recordings twice, lose the project files once, had problems with the border and other things that came up which i had to deal with.
You may notice that the border changes a little during the playback of the movie, i have no idea how to solve that and the small pixel font is rather hard to read sometimes.
Also be aware that some of the stunts are now old but they were new when they were sent in.
Fugitive was supposed to be the intro scripter but something came out so i threw together a last minute intro, sorry for that.

Thanks to everyone who sent stunts for this movie and especially to Tackleberry for creating the border and to Turtle Dick for his replay-checking, this wouldn't had been possible...
...or would had taken a lot more time without you

The editing was the best ive seen, I loved it. So original.
The stunts were fucking great. The community pulled together and deleverd some cool ass shit. I liked seeing some VC stunters in here also.

They usually don't have the best stunts (this was not an exception), but they are so wonderful to watch. Favourite stunts were Greendead's superb bb landing, Dannye's wallclimb loop (best taxi stunt ever made in SA imo) and that lucky bonk on the bridge by DeathCobra.

Time to sit back and watch a percentage counter slowly go from 0 to 100.

And dont worry about the delay's, releasing it exactly a year after the first one sounds cool.

EDIT: I am gonna try to download the monster wmv one, because I just can't wait to see it. But sometime soon I'd love it if you could release a 'medium' quality one: WMV, between 100-150 or so mb. That'd be great.

This wallclimb has been done by me in French Touch, though I know Dannye did it a while before me.

its not your comp. i downloaded the filefac mp4 and the sound is broken sometimes (error reading from plugin) and the vid lags often. (tested on TVReceiver, Xbox and PC - all the same problems) => file broken (?)

(I had a project planned, but it was abandoned, and thus my replay lay dormant until an opportunity to use it finally arose).

Anyways, onto the video.

Fantastic. I liked it alot, and I think it was a really good community project that turned out great. Great editing by Daffy and great stunts by everyone. I was actually quite happy with the intro - it goes to show that sometimes a simple intro done right can be just as good, if not better, than a complicated scripted intro.

My favourite stunt was definately DC's bump to bridge, that was insane. But all the stunts were great. Great job everyone.

EDIT: 285mb? What's up with that!?! I've never seen one over 189mb...How is the quality worth going that high? How big is the extreme one!

Was just surprised to see my weakest stunt only, and that in creds

Well, I really enjoyed the video. Gosh darnit, it was beautiful actually. Some angles were a bit weird to me, but maybe thats just me. Stunting was great by all, can't say I enjoyed some stunts the most, they were all great.

Won't even rate this, just saying its a great video, totally worth the 285mb

I have to say I enjoyed checking replays for this (thanks to some Polish doods for some entertainment ).
The vid turned out pretty great Daff, good job on it, it's been a long few months eh?
Tbh I like the original OST more, even if part of it was used in a crap vid. It has so much energy, but yeah these songs worked too.
Can't wait to see the 200mb mp4 now, the LQ youtube seemed a little dark.

Congrats to the GTAS Community for making another great community vid, glad to be a part of it.

i hated the fact that you fuckin ruined that awsome credit song, i mean ffs i had it for like many months now n i was gonna use it for a main/themed edit or at least an awsome intro not some goddamn boring credits wich didnt fit that song's tempo at all

in conclusion i enjoyed viewing it but i dont think its even in the top 5 best ever sa vids, like omni said it was a bit lacking

however i'd like to mention and congratulate greendead for getting that nice p2b2bilboard top or cool-man's stunts wich to me seemed like the best in this vid

Btw...for some reason, when I'm converting this video for PSP, the quality is REALLY BAD. It's probably because the stunts are so fast and PSP can't keep it up. Probably not. Just to inform you, that I'm converting GTASL2 now. (my sig)

Stunts:
Standouts

0.33 - great carbump - done showy, fits to start the video.
1.04 - very awesome idea - no matter the grind is short.At least it was not boring as most of the grinds in SA.
1.58 - cool bump2BB, dunno how hard it was, but looks impressive.
2.21 - far p2b - good presigion.
2.29 - another nice bump, good job TD.
3.15 - amazing - one of the best stunts in the video.
3.59 - magnificent car stunt.
4.11 - unbelievable wallie, gj.
4.41 - eh - i would've never completed it
4.55 - nicely done p2b
5.03 - Dannye, you're sick as always.
5.11 - congats with debut, Aries. I liked your stunt.
5.40 - as always great work from RAD.
6.14 - beautiful presigionous p2b.
6.41 - awesome stunt to finish the video.

All the other were or looked pretty simple or easy.
overall - 9.2/10

music - in the previous one were used two good rap-core tracks. For this one were chosen two faceless and to be honest sorta boring techno tracks ...
They worked ok but the vid lost unstoppable drive and energy (in compare with the first one) The only good one was in the credits - + 1 point for it so 7/10.

editing - it was very good,interesting, original and creative. Shorter: as Daffy's editing always is. Overall 9.9/10

overall - the trouble of the first video was stunts. The trouble of this one is music. and as always a lack of community spirit. That's sad. Hope Amped 3 will have no troubles. 8.9/10

I loved how you edited it daffy, the vid had a good energetic feel to it, maybe the music didnt have as much impact as the first, but it still worked out well for the vid. And there were quite a lot of good stunts in there, i wont name names as that'll feed an ego or two, but there were lots of nice stunts in there, a good variety, some people even landed a couple i couldnt do.

edit: Stunt wise this video was great it showed the lows and highs of stunting. Music choice was nice also and the editing was fitting. Just to let you know Daffy you were off with some of those black fades at 1:42 (shadowsniper's stunt)
