Official "xmas" video
« on: November 16, 2011, 10:24:45 AM »
Shouldn't we keep a "team" (or atleast vote for one each year) or something like that to organize each every Christmas video (which is organized every year by 15 different people for different collabs) under SA and VC engine?

Given that most of these videos are organized by people who are some what new to GTAs or don't have much experience in mod spotting or w/e, I believe that a "official" video should be voted for each one of it, since it holds the COMMUNITY's name as seem in the previous ones.

If this were a poll I'd vote yes. I enjoy neatly organised official videos more than unofficial ones.

I don't think this is a good idea at all. Is there anyone who could name a recent community video that's been organised successfully on GTAS? The problem with 'official' videos is that they go through so many steps of unnecessary bullshit like replay checkers and such that they take forever to get made, and many people don't commit to using their stunts in them, so I think it's best to stick the organising these collabs the way they're usually done. All a community video would lead to is disappointment, because it'll never meet anyone's expectations.

I don't feel like it should be necessarily official, but having one Xmas video for each engine is more than enough and makes it better as well.

What if the community, as for say, doesn't want anyone who's doing the current ones; since it holds the community name, I believe that there should be atleast a poll to choose who's organizing, editing and so on.
