I've got my movie edited and done and now I need it compressed to get a better quality. But virtualdub will not take my videos, and it dosn't matter what I save them as( I'm using windows movie maker and i've tried vegas 5.) I've tried all different kinds of formats. I'm just wondering if theres another way of doing this or if there is another FREE video compressor I could use.

Dr. Divx gives you a free trial... If that dosent work you might wanna try...

It works wonders.

I think that Virtual Dub can't open WMV files.

It's nothing really complicated to use honestech. just keep messing around with it till it works, lol

Ok so im using honestech and I clicked output then file then AVI and then I selected compress with DIVX would that be how to compress with it?

You need Dr DivX to do a DivX compression.
