Expected it to be as puritan as possible, and it was but in a tolerable way. Enjoyed it, loved the duality between the way of grace and the way of nature since I've always been on the nature side. Pitt plays well.

Billions of metaphors and references, a kind of experience movie. Malick did a good job. I still don't know whether I really liked it, or if it left me with no advice except the expectations I had before.  :hmm:

With this one, I've almost seen the whole Nolan's cinematography  :euro:

That was enjoyable, magic has never been something I've been awed (does that exist ?) by however he has used it well in that movie. The ending is magical, even if half of it is easy to guess.

The promise. The trick. The Prestige.

Such a sweet picture when you've seen the movie haha

Once again Kubrick does it good, however it has gotten a bit old in terms of humor, still a good ironic movie dealing with the army's stupidity during the cold war.
That's the first movie I ever watched casting Peter Sellers, matched the image I've been given of him, plays well those 3 diverse roles.

Darkyy is probably the most pretentious person on this site, and that's why I love him.
Reynolds is a close second, but he should talk more.
I don't like Beat, he's pretending to be eccentric but we all know that he still thinks Inception and Transformers 3 were above average movies, cute.
Kaneda is the most eclectic of all, watching kids movies then brutal thrillers without any problem.
Cryosphere is pretty much addicted to stoner movies because he likes drugs and stuff and things that lead nowhere but they're fun while they last.

anyways: swag

No Hot Linking? I so gotta see that movie.

I had seen this ages ago, but I was happy to find it still holds up. A very entertaining and well written original super hero movie. No comic book rehashing or 'graphic novel' adaptation here.

The Tree of Life

Good acting, good cinematography, but christ, so much of it was simply not necessary to make up the movie. It was too long, slow and boring in my opinion.

I wouldn't watch it again, and I can't say I'm even glad I watched it once. It's a shame really, cause I had really high expectations.

Edit:
Baseline is one arrogant weasel who shouldn't be throwing the word "pretentious" around. It's very ironic that he does so.

(1955 version)

I almost cried. That first song on the film is just epic. This is fantastic example of film, which has very interesting theme. At the same time you are mad at pigs, and at the same time you feel sorry for animals who are working for nothing. Especially Boxer. Everyone should watch this movie, if havent read the book. And if have, you dont loose anything while watching this.

Once again a thrilling south korean action movie. They're doing it incredibly good, and the more I watch this cinema the more I think their technical qualities have surpassed the occidental cinema !

Splendid movie depicting the life of the south korean painter Ohwon, which I didn't know before, through a captivating realization. Choi-Min Sik has never disappointed me so far, any role fits him !

Remains one of the greatest (if not THE greatest) action movies ever made. This is where the franchise should have ended, because the 4th installment was pretty ho-hum.
