"What a long, strange trip its been"
- Every goddamned high school graduation motto
Its been a hell of a ride these past... oh God... 6 months . We've had our ups and our downs but I think in the end we all had fun (except Torque j/k). Even without a real "final" I couldn't have been happier about the way the league went. We moved along at a good, brisk pace but gave everyone enough time to put together some memorable stunts. To be honest, there were times when I was concerned I had gotten in over my head. My first concern was how the hell am I going to manage 48 (later 50) people in this league and keep order? Other concerns followed dealing with match postponements, forum downtime, me going on vacation. But in the end everything worked out for the best.
So I guess this is the time for me to step aside and see if anyone else wants to take the reigns of the 4th Reincarnation of the GTASL. My advice to that lucky individual is:
1) Don't let anyone push you around
2) Don't be afraid to delegate responsibility
3) Trust your feelings
4) Don't be afraid to admit your mistakes
5) Don't let anyone push you around
6) Be firm in your decisions
7) Treat everyone with respect
8) Don't be afraid to ask for help
9) Don't let anyone push you around
I would love to help out on the next league but the title of "Overseer" stays with me
Once again, thanks to everyone who participated, judged or simply watched and I hope the next one is even better! I guess we can open this topic up to any final thoughts from you guys. Keep it civil and clean, any flaming and i'll start deleting posts and let the admins/mods deal with you further.

NoAP you douche. The first topic I look at after coming back from Sea World and this is handed to me.
To be honest I had a lot of fun in the league, I did stunts that I would've probably never thought about or have done if I wasn't put in those case scenarios (i.e. the caddy grind, admiral bump, car combo) I really enjoyed being in the league and was glad to see that the winner was someone deserving. Awesome job on running the league NoAP, it's been the best one at GTAS yet. I really liked the bracket layout and how everything went smoothly. The no shows were kinda lame but you really can't blame some people. The judges did a great job, I loved reading through their reactions on each stunter's stunt and it was a splendid ordeal to come by. I really like how you put forth a list for the up and coming GTASL runner, I'm sure their bound to help out. The only thing I was kinda surprised to see was that Daffy didn't get the rightful recognition that he had deserved, I would've liked to see some sort of topic like the one I made for the end of SL2; here (http://www.gtastunting.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=16393&st=0&start=0).
This league was a great experience for me as a stunter and a member of these forums and I hope others will have just as much fun in the next league that I had in this one.

i think it turned out great, even without a real final match. NoA, you did a truly awesome job organizing the whole thing! thanks for letting me be a judge, and thanks to all other judges, it was really interesting, tho pretty hard. also thanks to all of the participants, who showed some amazing skills and presented us such a beautiful battles.

Was disappointed quite a bit at the amount of people dropping out, but the fact that NoAPOlogies and co. still managed to keep it running smoothly with people delaying and no-showing only goes to show the work and organisation put into this. Really good work.

This league was fun to watch, as well as to compete in. I had a blast being involved with it...I can't wait for 4!!

@Tim: That's a nice start. I would like to see them a bit smaller though. I'm sure Daffy, Cdarmy and Demonfade (I'll assume he's 3rd) will have their own suggestions.

This was rather fun since I was disappointed how the last one went I thought I'd give this one a shot or 2... or 3, well 4 but you get the picture.
NoAPOlogies did a wonderful job organizing this, always knowing how to be assertive and take control of the situation. From just chatting with him on msn I know he put a lot of work into this. I feel kind of bad being the 49th person signed up.
I enjoyed this so much that I plan to be a judge for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stunting League 4 of www.gtastunting.com/forums. (made it feel more important typing it word for word)
Thank you judges for of course letting me get so far. Especially for NoAPOlogies for giving me the 411 when I couldn't get on the forums or telling me my matches FAR ahead of time.

That's how I thought. If Cdarmy gets the second place (which he officially should), SabotagE should split the 3rd place with Demonfade.

Daffy asked if i could make him something in userbar format (unless you are referring to the text), I agree with you on the brightness part i'll try to fix that.

What would the editing job require? Would he get sent all of the .rep's or would he have to go in and manually get all the reps?
I wanna know what I'm getting myself into before I raise my hand.

As far as I know, I have every single rep collected and sorted correctly. So once an editor is chosen I can send him the entire package, plus a copy of the completed brackets in case they will find that helpful also. I don't have the stunters' skins though, so the editor would need to manually collect them - but perhaps with contact with guys who have previously edited community videos, that task wont be a too difficult one.

I just realised, I am actually missing one single replay, and its of one of your stunts Torque. I guess it must have been from one of the weeks were I was running a bit behind with the rep collecting and there was a yousendit link that didn't like me or something. Its of "Losers Round 4", you against Spoof, the challenge was best stunt at/near a stadium. Any chance you still have it and could send it to me? If so, that'd be great dude.

I have every single one of my SL3 reps Dannye. One slight problem though...my dad was kinda pissed off at me today about my eyesight (stigmatism) and he blamed the fact that I played GTA... =\ (Although I rarely get on anymore) and he disconnected all the wires and took the hard drive away. I don't know how long before I get it back or am able to access it but once I get the chance I will get that rep to you ASAP.

He gave me a mini eye-test of a sort where I had to read like a .02 font number on the computer screen, my 8 year old baby sister and 14 year old sister both passed it and got everything right, I on the other hand got everything wrong. (It's about that whole driving thing) And yeah that wasn't so good...

Just an update on the vid so you guys aren't left wondering what's going on.
I'm taking a break from the recording for a little bit, I'm doing a collab with someone that's due out soon as well as other projects. GTASL3 vid should be ready for editing within the next week or so. Sorry that it's taking this long, but I really don't want to rush this one.

Hey guys, here's an update on what's going on.
In case you haven't seen my thread yet, my internet in my apartment has gone out. We were using someone else's wireless internet so we have no power over what's going on, all we can do is wait and hope that they pay their bill soon. Anyway, I don't know how long I'll go without internet, and I am going on a week long vacation to Florida very soon (on the 17th). I won't be coming back home 'til around the 24'th.
If you guys are willing to wait that long for the vid, I promise you I will crank it out when I get back from vacation. But if you guys don't want to wait that long, I understand, and am willing to pass the torch to someone else who's willing to do it. I have all the stuff you need still, thanks to Dannye for the reps and a few other people for the skins.

It's no problem at all. I took ages to edit the GTASL2 vid without people complaining, but I guess the expectations are bigger now.

It's not a problem if you make sure you'll finish it. The most important is you still think about it and don't forget it for ages and lets us in the unknow if you see what i mean.

300mb - Ultra high res - HD 1080p Lame DivX Uber quality
300mb - Same as above upped to 40 different places
20mb - Shit quality looks like it was done on a cell phone
Youtube - Streaming with shit quality render
There should be a MQ version with a ~2mb bit rate. It'll be a long vid though I figure.

Actually, I only ever had the reps. Not sure if Sol was able to collect all the skins or not, if he does, then the editor could get them off him, otherwise would need to collect them himself.

We have some seriously good ideas for this, and we wont let you down. Add either of us to msn to discuss this further.
