My video is 3750mb, and I want to make it a smaller size but I don't want to interfear with the quality. Is this possible? By the way my video is 7 minutes and 42 seconds long, just incase anyone was wondering about the high mb and just so you know why I want to change the mb its because hosting a video takes like 12 hours.

Well it's hard to say what you should do...you didn't tell us what editing suite you're using. You could try putting your existing vid (the 3gig one) through Dr.DivX and try to get it down that way. Keeping the original quality though is a big ask. Any compression will invariably lead to quality loss. DivX, Xvid or 3ivX are your best bet as far as a compression codec to use. You will lose quality...but not a substantial amount.

Try doing a search on the web for info regarding Dr. DivX compression settings and what-not. I'm not that experience in the field of DivX, so I don't want to give you any misleading information.

wow. well, it's easy to say that your editing program didn't compress your video one bit, just compiled all of the hugeass AVIs that Fraps gives you all together. You could easilly cut that video down to 1/70'th of the size and still keep a pretty good quality vid. Never think about even trying to get people to download a vid more than 300 MB. Like Kaneda said, i recommend using the DivX codec to compress your vid. OR you should probably try browsing around your editing program for compression preferences and mess around with those untill you get something that's under say 75 MB. As a rule of thumb, for an OK quality movie that's easilly downloadable, 1 minute should be around 10 MB.

I am useing windows movie maker, and I just tried saving my video differently and now its 67.8 mb and good quality, so im upload it to thegamersalliance.com and I should have my video on this site today.
I also cut back on mb's by taking out clips of some stunts that werent that great like 360s and stuff like that and that made my video 5 min and 22 seconds instead of 7 min and 42 seconds.

kool, good job man. yeh, about the more "crappier" stunts, it's always good to take those out cuz they can really tend to ruin a video
