wow it must've felt awesome to find all your old footage! This looked like a lot of fun. As previously said there was a lot of random stuff in here- I would prefer to see a fun vid and something more serious with all the great stunts. It was fun to watch nonetheless. Didn't know half this stuff was possible in gtaiv! The boat jump to sub was insane and the car wallride/grinds were awesome too. Great work

probably one of my favourite JC2 stunt videos ever. The sheer variety of vehicles and type of stunt is what I like most. Fav would probably be the bike wheelie bump at the start onto the bridge- that's pretty hard to do. The multiplayer collision bounces were cool too. I also loved the air propulsion gun jump onto the airport tower- that was epic!

Most of what I think is coming off the back of a flippant tweet I sent in reply to the SBMX/Evolve merger https://twitter.com/NOdab88/status/690974628362194945It kinda struck me as such a simple idea I was surprised nobody had done it already.... then forest mentioned gtastunting around the same time waken/lobbin had been encouraging me to join. So I joined expecting a thriving community and I guess I was a little disappointed (no offence... my expectations were clearly too high!). In an ideal world I'd like to see that one unified stunting hub... for all games, all GTAs, JCs, Watchdogs, fallout, trackmania... any game where you would 'stunt'. But that's just me and I don't see much appetite for stunts outside of GTA.

Right, but why would you take charge? What are you achieving by updating the website? Web design takes a lot of work, especially when you're making a good one, and if GTAStunting lacks purpose, why would you spend your time on it? People need to understand that those who are experienced enough to make good websites have jobs, so they're unlikely to work on GTAStunting unless there's a good reason.
Good point. I'm new, totally naive to what has happened here in the past and kinda enthusiastic to actually find a stunting community so you'll have to forgive me.

Someone needs to spend time making a new destination, and who's going to do that? GTAStunting is no longer necessary, and it's also antiquated, so why would people visit in vast numbers? As far is I know, there is a gtastunting facebook page , gtastunting twitter and also a subreddit, but no one really takes care of them
Seems like the biggest problem is nobody taking charge and making the changes people want to see

Yeah, that would be a great idea if half of the videos would have an original score. A lot of commercial music is now on Content ID so when you upload something to youtube and the music belongs to somebody else, it gets detected and you are restricted from monitising it. Instead the ad revenue goes to the copyright owner. So a lot of videos can go up... you just won't earn anything from them. The internet is huge. GTAS has no presence at all. I'd never heard of it until actually being referred here directly. Would never have joined if I wasn't an old geezer familiar with forums. No stunter, good or bad will just stumble upon this place. There's a lot that could be done. Simply opening social media accounts under the GTAS name would be a good start- youtube, twitter, facebook, instagram etc. Then post a message and invite everybody from GTAS to contribute/participate. Things would grow faster than you might think if people worked together. There are also mobile apps for various kinds of forum software if you really wanted to push user participation (esp when it comes to the younger stunters) but that would require £$£$ and expertise... neither of which I have.

I've been involved in the parkour scene for over a decade. This entire debate sounds very familiar. It is the debate you get within any group of people that follow a passion. You get one group that is totally purist and wants to retain the essence of what brought them to the activity in the first place. And then you've got all the newcomers that join in because it's popular (with only a small minority of them taking on the purists attitude). It's almost impossible to reconcile these two, essentially opposing viewpoints.
Stunting on youtube will come and go, just like any trend. After it loses popularity the purists will be the only ones left doing it.
Kwebellkop is a symptom of how poorly run youtube is- it's not about content or even it's quality any more. It's about marketing to children and the ad revenue that yields. No other medium allows for such unregulated advertising exposure to children. It's big money. The new gold rush.

Nah, you've summed it up pretty well. This place is like a warm internet home for me, with some annoying retardeds like illex. I'm following VC stunting for like 9 years, I was a kid, now I'm an adult and this place still exists. Only V stunters couldn't understand this (I'm not gonna blame them tho) and it's funny, because I think many of them are younger, than this site actually.
I've tried to stunt in V, but didn't like it, it's not as magical like VC for me. The site is dying, because VC and SA stunting are dying. You can't revive it, just change it, because V is the new sheriff in town. I think there are about 50 people, who are still caring about this forum, so yeah.
we need new and well made VC,SA maps 
I'm genuinely sorry I missed the party! Sounds like this place was awesome and buzzing in the past. I can relate as I've been around a while and seen communities live and die. That's the nature of the internet though- it's just a faster form of real life and things change. Must've been good while it lasted! All this time I was on my own stunting in a game nobody else stunted on. Just Cause.

I'm totally new here and it feels like I've gone back in time about 5-10 years. People don't use forums anymore. They certainly don't get used how they used to.... people use social media the way they used to use forums (logging in daily & contributing). Facebook, Twitter and YouTube have taken the place of most forums.
I was recommended by a stunter friend to join however I thought there would be no point coz I don't stunt in GTA. Would be good to see a site like this diversify beyond what's already covered.
Is this place dead? Or just waiting to be revived?

Hi I was referred here by a stunting friend. I've been performing stunts in Just Cause for over 3 years and have accumulated a huge number of unique hits and ideas. My channel has over 300 video and is pretty much orientated around Just Cause & Stunts: https://www.youtube.com/dab88I used to be a huge fan of GTA and have played since GTA1 through to GTA4 when I kinda stopped coz I couldn't grapple over a bridge and had to walk all the way around (JC killed open worlds that lack mobility for me). I bought GTA:SA on launch day and it was probably one of the best gaming purchases I've ever made. I'll never forgot the bus ride home and then booting it up on (my dads!) Xbox 360. Goodtimes! I watched some GTA stunting back then and it always amazed me. Never thought I would get into anything like that though and yet here I am (different game but you know). I still play San Andreas occasionally but it's actually Chinatown Wars that gets most of my love now... it's like all the best bits from the old GTA1/2 days combined with the awesome open world action of todays 3D games.
