Dafuq? I use 1-4 layers tops, sheesh, you guys are lavish
They're called markers. You place them at some place of interest (for example, a drum hit in a track), and then the clips automatically snap to it.Dafuq? I use 1-4 layers tops, sheesh, you guys are lavish
Same xD btw never understood, what are those orange lines you got guys?
AUREUSWhat the fuck man.

Position the cursor on the spot where you want to place the marker. Then hit "M" with your keyboard.and how do we do that? They're called markers. I laughed at Beat's one, I mean what the hell mate, that was incredible :|
Wait, none of you guys put effects on the whole project, just the individual layers? Am I the only one who does that? I thought that's how the majority do their CC's, I mean, it's much more simple that way :unsure:you mean, add the CC (or other vfx) to the tracks and not to each clip?

yeh, that's what the majority does I guess

Not tracks, the whole project. There is a difference!
Adding it so it adds to all of the tracks/layers simultaneously.
^ It's not like anyone cares.
I really don't understand people who add CC at the very end of the video. How can you know if effects will look good & that you'll create the atmosphere you're going for, if you don't have 'em colors?? For me it's the very first, primary thing I do when editing, sometimes even before recording.I totally agree with you. I actually listen to the song while recording. Ya, I put it to repeat. For the cc, I record a stunt, put it into vegas (oftenly the opener) and start doing the cc (with the song). After that, while editing, I may think that this cc sucks, so I redo it, and when I find the real good one, I redo the effects that look crappy on it.
what I do it's put normal effects, like shake or related, then after adding a CC I add others, like flashes and stuff, I really hate when the preview laggs like shit, and I always need to render (if I REALLY need to check it out) in mp4 aka toaster quality.
A layer for nametags n shit, a layer or two for clips and finally a layer for le song. Why the fuck would you need like 60 layers?:ajaja:

My part from "Welcome To San Andreas". Thought I'd post it up here in all its colorfulness before I remove all the clips I recorded.

How did you make SA look like that? I'm talking about the vision from the preview window. I love it and I'm curious ever since I watched the video for the first time.
@THEFT: What dafuq do you do with those tracks? :blink:sound editing

And what is the render's length?i was rerendering with post production FX many times before and after composing, nearly 12 hours total

Markers, you press M to put them wherever on the timeline you are.But what's the purpose of them
I know what this is :ninja:
Lookin' good :cc_detective:
Why I left Vegas 9 after 5 minutes? Shit load of bugs.
you are bad beat wannabe looking at the poster and cc of the video, also you cant be beat using this : Soil - Pride (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2nd82xgrB0#)
Vegas 11?...I have Vegas 12 but my Newblue doesn't appear on there, which I use in pretty much every project.

And a lot more videos I can't recall..
Not that they're necessarily my favourite videos, but I hate how people claim I'm one of the "dubstep editors' even though I never really used it in a stunting video... I use Rock/Electronic and mainly alternative genres :hmm:

okay, you better than Beat, because you used many tracks like Beat's,but yours is trim. :Phe just saw Beat's picture with 100k layers, and he thought he would look awesome if he does so.this .
do you have a different cc on each layer? Otherwise I don't see a point of having so many of them.
^Because he just wants to have something structured with a layer for every effect / movement / clip I guess.Yes
Or he just saw Beat's picture with 100k layers, and he thought he would look awesome if he does so.

Not sure if you're talking about me, but nope. I use the green markers for full-time effects (if you know what they are).

pk, how the fuck you get that awesome quality? :o
sry for offtopic :d
what the fuck who needs 33 video layers
More like Sani..what the fuck who needs 33 video layers
As Mxzz said, depends. I had a stressful time so I had to bump up to fit things in. I couldn't just use 1 layer for each. Keeping low layers isn't easy for me anymore. Not doing it to show off as I hate having lots of layers like Andre. :P

I don't get the need of so many layers, even my Fools Of Damnation collab, that had 40 odd CCs & a billion custom effects only had 5 layers total, that is including the nametags...
Got a question, why don't you put more than one effect on a layer? If you have an effect in the first minute, and an effect in the last minute, it is possible to put those two effects on the same layer without it altering the video at all. It will make your projects a lot easier to handle, especially if an error came up after you rendered and you're trying to find this effect with tens of layers.because of the composite mode . Yea , i got alot of error when i rendering too but that's okay .
What are all those orange lines? I guess they are showing the inserted effects but they never show up in my vegas..
Don't need them though, just curious
