Personally, I don't think that it's a DX problem.. If you think that thats the problem, why don't you just re-install DX? Have you asked on the Steam Forums? Maybe the admins can help..

Computer Talk / BUYING COMPUTER HELP!

Seems good to me.. I'm using 667MHz and I encounter no bottlenecks.. And about Vista, only install it if you have reason to.. Like wanting DX10..

Computer Talk / Monitor Problems?
« on: November 06, 2007, 09:39:26 AM »
Could be a few things.. Do you keep your cell phone in front of the monitor? If you do, does the lines only happen when a call or a text message comes in? Happened like that for me.. Otherwise, it could be your vid card heating up or something else to do with your card.. Try hook it up to another monitor.. If it works, then it's your monitor, if not, it's your vid card.. Simple..

Nah.. Although a few guys here said that microsoft is integrating the best visual effect and coding in DX10 and importing it into DX9 and disbanding DX10 altogether.. But nah.. They won't do that 'cause it's the only major selling point of Vista..

Congrats dude.. And I didn't know that the GT was better than the GTS? Ah.. Well... Nice card.. And it's only hello DX10 if you have vista and a DX10 compatible game... yeah... I know.. I'm a killjoy..

Computer Talk / Video watching problems..
« on: November 02, 2007, 08:08:49 PM »
Hey guys.. When I watch videos, the whole video turns green or pink.. Kinda like watching it with nightvision on.. And it only happens for .wmv and some .mpg formats.. I've tried different players but they outcome is all the same.. My vid card comes with Splendid Video Technology.. Kinda like ATi's AVIVO.. But splendid works with all videos.. But the thing is, .avi's don't have this prob.. just the 2 I mentioned... A lil help please? Thanks in advance..

I ran a CPU stress/stablity test to prove your theory.. And turns out, when the CPU has like 25% usage, it jacks to 2.4GHz.. Here's the proof.. BTW, the multiplier changes to 9 instead..

But according to the multiplier, i need a bus speed of 400MHz to get what I paid for.. 300 will only get me 1.8GHz.. But the thing is, if there is a way to change the multiplier to 9, then 267 will be just fine.. I do notice that in CPU-Z, the multiplier flits from 6 to 9 but its usually stable at 6...
