USS Video Releases / Re: [USS] 2028
« on: May 15, 2020, 01:55:58 AM »
So I come for my yearly GTAS check-in, and not only are there new VC videos, but people from the old days are making them!

This has made my fucking day. The whole vibe of the video made me feel like I was back in 2006 in the best way possible. Simpler times.

I have no idea which stunts are old any more, so the whole thing felt pretty fresh to me. Xtramus faggio stoppie 360 on the ledge gave me serious feels. Love it mate.

15 years later and people are still thinking of new shit to try in VC. Mind blowing.

So Alex (VenomX) just sent this to me, haven't been involved in stunting for years now which makes this all the more surprising/odd. You re-did like every shot of my edit almost perfectly!?

Love that of all the stunts, the taxi one I did where I just roll off the pizza was the only one you couldn't do. Whoever said we only did easy stunts? Hahaha

Really bizarre to come across this. Well done though I guess!

This was great, loved the whole vibe of the video. Was taken aback by how fun some of the ideas were, loving the fact that VC has been so rinsed dry of obvious stunts that people seem to have embraced real creativity to land new stuff.

First stunt video I have watched in about 4 years, don't know why I decided to check back here today but glad I did.

The best thing I could hope for on a sporadic visit to GTAS. Everything inspirational about stunting in one video! I can truly say that New Breed would not have evolved without your influence both in terms of stunting and editing. Freeplay is the best thing to happen to stunt videos, fact.

Thanks for the encore man!

Felt like I was watching a classic video from 06/07! Edit was Xtramus all over (in a good way).

Massively enjoyed the stunts, so many great ideas. Seems like stunting has evolved to incorporate so much fresh thinking, it's truly a bit heart-warming.  My congratulations to MtS for landing that boat stunt and sony for the hedge bump, have definitely tried both of those before thinking "...naaah this isn't happening". Great to see VC stunting is still alive and kicking!

Anime / Re: Anime discussion

ofthemountain watches anime? And I thought I knew everything about GTAS.

To answer your question, I have not seen it, but it sounds familiar. Might just probably be from some random TV show though...

And I hope this applies to the most of you:

Yeah to be fair I've only just started to take a bit of an interest this year, have only seen like 3 series and a few films. I wouldn't say I'm an all out anime fan, I just tend to like Japanese shit.

Simon (sweet name man) said the Japanese name of it if that helps. Will probably check it out at some point anyway.

Has anyone seen that new Watanabe-directed show called Kids On The Slope? Fucking love Bebop and Samurai Champloo, however I try to avoid animes about robots or school kids (i.e. about 90%).

Darkstar's p2b was awesome, mehmet and disciplo also had some good shit. By far the best stunt was BG Hitman's stoppie to between those 2 freeways, I've always thought of doing something funny like that with those bikes but you really nailed it, cracked me up.

Song was pretty weird, editing was good though.

Awesome ideas mostly, a couple of more ordinary ones but definitely no bad stunts. Thought Red's stuff was all really well conceived, Edga had a couple of mad ones and the finisher was fucking ridiculous.

In terms of editing, it was good to not have to watch a new video on mute for once. No CCs and straight cuts are what I like to see as well. Not groundbreaking but I enjoyed it much more than the vast majority of editing these days.

Sweet

Boat stunt was badass if legit. Dark Kelvin is the funniest user name ever.
