Post by: mqtH on March 24, 2018, 06:02:16 AM
So everytime I do a back Windows on SA, VC, United.... I got a 5 or 6 secondes black screen and same to go back in game, some friends don't have it and I don't have it on my other games. I tryed a lot of things but couldn't find a solution :cheersad:

I really don't know how to solve it, the only thing you may try out is WineD3D https://fdossena.com/?p=wined3d/index.frag (https://fdossena.com/?p=wined3d/index.frag). All you do is add some .dll files to your installation and many bugs are fixed, due to DirectX hooking.
The problem might be old games are not quite supported on Win10.

Since when do you have this bug?

since he modified his graphics in Nvidia parameter panel (he turned everything to maximum)

today, he tried to copy my settings on this NVidia thingy and it doesn't change anything it still takes much time to back windows and come back on the game

It started on my old pc after I did push everything to max (Windows 7) then I switched to this pc and nothing changed.

this happens to me when the game i'm playing has its refresh rate set to something different than my native refresh rate, just something to consider

Revert those changes and try each setting to see what exactly causes it, so you can avoid that crap :hmm:

Try reinstalling GPU drivers and choosing whatever the clear all settings option is called, I just upped my VC gfx settings and I get the same lag you describe so it's most likely to do with that. Reinstalling the drivers should reset all that shit to default and fix it.

Dunno if this helps but aside from getting a freeze of a few seconds when alt tabbing back into VC I'd also get a freeze when starting to record with Fraps. Went through the settings in Nvidia Control Panel and found it was to do with the "Antialiasing - Mode" setting - when set to "Override any application setting" I'd get the freezes, when set to "Enhance the application setting" everything worked fine
