Pretty cool movie :ajaja:
What's the point of hunting? We're all on GTAS anyways.

Went on TV while the powersupply for my computer was in for repairs so I decided to watch it. Boring acting, boring story, boring atmosphere, predictable events. During the entire movie I felt as if they had planned to use Hugh Jackman as the maincharacter but were forced to go for someone else instead. I don't recommend this movie to anyone. 2/10.

It's funny that you say that, because for me he ruined the movie. Mostly because he is a known Norwegian comedian that has had loads of TV shows and whatnot.

Ah, see I didn't recognize him at all so I probably didn't have to deal with that association. But still, I do like it when comedians do stuff that's outside their comfort zone - Jim Carrey in The Truman Show for instance.

Wasn't as good as I thought it might be. The obvious nods to Speilberg basically turned the movie into a darker version of E.T. It started off well but when the creature was turned into a misunderstood victim it went downhill fast. You can't portray something as being completely terrifying for the first 70 minutes of a movie and then do a complete about face right at the end. It's a cheat.

EDIT: I only just noticed now the word 'Lost' on the above poster art (I'm slow like that). That's something that bothers me with J.J. Abrams too - references. It's nice if done with subtlety, but putting the word LOST on your poster art is just stupid. You made Lost, yeah, we know. Star Wars references are annoying too now because they've become such a cliche, and Super 8 had them also. Enough with the references already!

Interesting, funny and brilliant movie. It wasn't too long so it never got boring. I've always liked Bill Hicks but since I'm a Tool-fan (DUH!) it made the story even more interesting since he has inspired Tool. I'd recommend this to pretty much anyone that's interested in comedy.

A nice comedy showcasing the twist after the berlin wall's fall in 1989, it pictures perfectly that period and the difficulty of adaptations. Sweet acting also by Daniel Brühl and the other actors. Enjoyed it from the soundtrack to the various references :)

Very True. I enjoyed the movie, but it kind of ruined the "this is real" feeling they went for.

I was disappointed with both films. In my sadder days as a horror movie fan, the directors of these two films (John Carpenter & Joe Dante) were two of my favourites. Unfortunately their styles somehow haven't stood the test of time. The Hole was passable in that Joe Dante juvenile kinda way (it plays out a lot like The Explorers with a horror theme, rather than a sci-fi one), but The Ward was just derivative. It's basically a combination of Shutter Island and the immensely underrated Identity - and a bad combination at that. Alas  :(

Odd, I just watched this today. 6.8/10

A breath of fresh air, unfortunately I couldn't stand 75% of the cast, horrible accents and acting, the dialogue sucked most of the time but it still somehow managed to make me laugh plenty of times. 6.6/10
