Mouse not responding
« on: May 11, 2010, 11:11:25 AM »
So I just started using Windows 7, and noticed that the mouse doesn't respond when I click, or when in-game or viewing replays (but it's possible to move the cursor in the menu screen).

Something similar to this I'll bet, the solutions here didn't work and/or sucked though, have any of you encountered this problem?

Help much appreciated guys

Yes I had for a long time my tip: Dont start any program like (WMP) before you are going to play. this worked for me finally. If you still have the problem just esc a few times (with moving the cursor at the same time)

Wow that sucks.. I noticed that I can get it to work if I esc in and out alot of times, but it's hella-annoying. Thanks for the tip about not having applications running anyway, I'll try that.

It happens on my new computer as well.

In San Andreas I just have to alt-tab then klick somewhere in Spotify ( ) and then go back into the game. In VC (well, LC is the only one I've tried yet) the mouse works on rare occasions... And yes, I turned off all the other programs.

Happens with W7, pressing ESC a few times does the trick. I do have many programs on when playing VC/LC, if it resists to move onto the game window just alt-tab a few times and it'll access the game.

I seriously doubt it has anything to do with Dannye's SCM. :P

Can this be fixed somehow? Seriously, I can't stunt without music on! And alt-tabbing rarely works. :(
(This is for VC btw)

I had the same problem in a period, if you have a joystick, connect it before launching the game, and normally the mouse should work. I that in fact like that, thus after it is only one solution.. :P
