Dear Esther
« on: February 12, 2015, 03:55:33 PM »
Last week I opened Dear Esther again and walked through the level again. This time I was foccusing more on the story itself. I'm wondering if someone also walked through the story, because saying "playing" is literally not what you are doing in this game.
I wanted to share this with you all earlier, but coulndt be arsed to take a few screenshots etc..

Discuss? Opinions?

Probably one of the most beautiful games i've ever played. Great graphics and the story is really cool aswell.
I think i posted a thread about it sometime ago.

To be honest, I found the dev diary more interesting than the whole game. But then again I'm more curious about how things are made, rather than what they do.

But Robert Briscoe really does some great level design, de_forest is still by far the best forest map for the source engine. His blog is also worth a read from time to time: http://www.littlelostpoly.co.uk/my-retrospectivepost-mortem-on-dear-esther/
