Modus Operandi Public Section / TurBo - Supercharged [48h]
« on: February 26, 2024, 02:02:36 PM »
Hey everyone,

Been a while since I posted a personal project of mine on here. In November and amidst a turmoil of personal and national events I felt an urge, an impetus to escape and stunting being one of the best mediums and avenues for that sort of escape I've had available to me since adolescence and with Modus Operandi's final video right around the corner - I felt sufficiently incentivized to pursue a 48h video. What really cemented this is having an extremely auspicious start during which I landed several difficult spots, some of which I'd been after for other projects of mine for a while within the first few hours I'd allotted for the project. I had originally intended to go for a 24hours video but given the spur of inspiration lasted longer than I'd planned I extended it and kept pouring in the hours on that weekend. The result is here, kindly bundled together spruced up and presented by Mati whose artistic vision aligned with mine. Albeit slightly belated owing to real life circumstances and other hurdles - here's Supercharged [the name which aptly jibes with my personal journey of growth outside of stunting, and providing a closure in the stunting scene as this name was designated for my shelved and unfinished first VC solo dating way back to 08'].

Enjoy and I encourage responses / reactions and engagement as always.

Modus Operandi Public Section / TurBo - Excelsus
« on: January 15, 2021, 10:30:53 AM »

Hey to everyone, it has been ages since I posted, much more so a thread and especially a video of my own.

I guess a bit of an introduction is in order: I started working on this solo in the Spring of 2016. Seems forever ago and it kind of has been a long, stop-start project without a set deadline and without an intention to churn out stunts.

In the past 4-5 years my interest in stunting has seen fluctuations, on good months I'd be on a roll of several stunts a week/month and then I could take long periods off stunting entirely. However inactive I became and however little time or interest I had for/in stunting along the way I'd still periodically check in on the forums even if I didn't comment.

This solo, a taxi-themed one, owes credit in large part to my close mates in the scene and some notable taxi inspirations of old, and new who have helped re-ignite the old flame each time. The goal was to create a solo as diverse and with spots as unique and fresh as I could. Being that I had way more spots than what has ended up in here and I still in fact hold a sizable mental repository of prospective spots I think it'd be safe to say this is a significant one for me, but definitely not a denouement.

During these very strange times, I have found more time for a lot of self-reflection and indeed set myself targets to be done with while I was not busy with remote-studying/working/living and I have managed many of these. Finishing up this long-awaited solo, primarily for myself, is one of the successful ones.

Finally, I'm really indebted to Max, who took on the project kindly and courteously kept me posted at any notable point of progress, deliberating on different aspects, from the most minute of details to the more holistic ones. I could not have asked for someone whom I would have liked more for the vision I have for my videos and stunting videos in general. A great synthesis between complementing a stunt and making content king while also crafting an experience that transcends a montage of cool tricks and is unique and memorable.

That will be it for my babble, I hope you'll enjoy the final product and thanks to everyone that helped me make this happen.

P.S: In my rush, and thinking I had already obviously put his name in, I forgot to mention Rainbow in the 'Special Thanks' list, who, needless to mention has been a major part of my obsession with taxi throughout the years.

Modus Operandi Public Section / Timed Effort III

Hello, so about 3 weeks ago I had a good feeling about stunting in VC and I had a pretty motivated spell of finding spots, I decided to go for a 24h solo having managed to land the opener[which has been a tricky spot I was after for a bit here and there]. I would've liked going for more variety, more spots and all, but I didn't manage to sit and stunt for the entire time. Eventually I called a couple of friends to make it a sort of a 'solab', they sent their replays and Art took the initiation and was willing to edit it, I am very pleased with the result and his editing was a great pleasure to watch for me.

Sports / Leo Messi

Just a brilliant performance in this semi-finals of the Champions League, I appreciate Bayern's playing and I think they were passing the ball and defending very good for the majority of the game and I also admire Neuer's goalkeeping but that performance by Messi is one for the years, definitely shows he is back in his old glory.

Discuss the semi finals here if you want[The Juve-Real game too].

Computer Talk / Help in regards with WIN8 and GTA
« on: October 01, 2014, 04:07:23 AM »
So I got a new great Acer laptop yesterday that has the new[I think it's new, I haven't been up to date with these too much lately] WIN8, after ages on my old machine with XP... and it runs very well and even makes VC look like a proper HD game.

However, the issue is, I can not move around the mouse in the game and I can not click with it on anything in the menu, that has to be fixed so please do suggest your ideas and experience with that maybe, thanks for helping in advance.

Hatred-Remake

By Art and TurBo

Hey guys, in late 2013, me and Art started working on this remake, I contributed with the stunts I could and found time to do.

Art then edited this video right after it was finally done, about two days ago, and this is it, enjoy.

Computer Talk / Audio is messing with me
« on: November 25, 2013, 11:54:16 AM »
So it was all going as usual and I left the pc to go for a run and when I came back, without giving me any error or any notification that anything has changed, I simply stopped hearing any sounds that are not the sounds windows makes[when you start the pc, and when there's an error], I have tried anything and it's nothing physical because I still CAN hear sounds that are windows default, just nothing else.

Need some help with that.

I covered an easy fun quick song by the White Stripes most of you are familiar with, 'Fell In Love With A Girl', unfortunately their tone is hard to achieve but meh, enjoy, and my mom kinda distracted me closing a door... anyways:

Could someone please PM me a link for Allbeast's SAiVC, I just find his one very good and the best for SAiVC stunting and recording, I know I uploaded it a few times but now ever since I reformatted I can't find it. Thanks.

Sports / Chelsea vs. Bayern
« on: May 18, 2012, 06:06:03 AM »
Place yours bets, Football fans.

As you probably know, tomorrow the Champions League finals take place. Bayern are known for being a strong team in their home field but Chelsea is a great English team with a good squad.

I am rooting for Chelsea.

VC Un-Modded Stunting Video Releases / Atmosphere
« on: April 01, 2012, 08:58:02 AM »
A taxi themed video stunted by myself, Rainbow and Red entitled 'Atmosphere'.

The story behind that vid dates back to late 2010 when me and Rainbow received an invitation to participate in a supposed to be taxi themed collab from Red, he sent it to a bunch of people he wanted.

However, things weren't going so well and basically only me and Rainbow accepted it, making it a trio, then, when we had finished stunting for our duo[TMTTOP] we started stunting for it, landing handful of stunts, still, the vid delayed for many reasons and Shadowsniper was supposed to be editing it but we ended up picking ZeRo for the job and he did one hell of a job and created this , thanks a bunch, turned out awesome in my eyes.

Editing: ZeRo
Stunting: TurBo, Rainbow and Red.

Computer Talk / A Chicony keyboard
« on: December 20, 2011, 06:14:50 AM »
So I'm using a wireless keyboard by 'Chicony' for some time now because my father kind of stole my normal one , it gives me some troubles in tapping as fast as I'd want, and when stunting, makes my radding pretty awful, I know there's a bigger delay when it's wireless than when it's wired but it shouldn't affect the frequency of tapping and the time between each tap. I thought it might be the fact the keys are 'heavier' so in that case, is there any way to make the PC more sensitive to the taps on the keyboard?

SSU Video Releases / TurBo-Timed Effort 2[24h]
« on: October 18, 2011, 08:20:36 AM »
Yt description:

"The sequel to my time limited solo 'timed effort', I edited the video entirely and created the CC.

The vid was as usual made on a weekend.

Quite an unusual song choice, it's a rock song from the 90's in hebrew which I found enjoyable lately and have been wanting to edit to.

Finally I'd like to thank Sheikah for guesting, his player is the blue one and his stunt is the sanchez island watergap.

song: איפה הילד-מה שעובר עליי[where's the kid-what I'm going through]."

So yeah, my 2nd 24h limited Vice City solo.
Edited by myself and guested by Sheikah[2:08].
Quite an unusual song as it's in hebrew, tho for me it's one of my favorite israeli rock songs and I've been wanting to edit to it for a while now so if you just can't listen mute or something, and try to judge by stunts in that case.
