[SSU] The Story

This topic tells it with the correct order of videos, including untold background information. The videos originally were not released in this order.
Lacrima, ONE, Sensus & RIDE don’t have any relation to this story and it is SA related only.

It'll eventually get updated.

Restart:

The government kidnapped a civilian subject for scientific purposes in order to create a new special forces team. After a cloning process, that the professor led, Special Stunting Unit was born.

Further human experiments, including a dark substance, brought varying results. Lizardman is the perfect example of a failed experiment. Deterred by that, the strain on the professor’s sanity made him quit.

Aqua:

Therefore he decided to preserve humanity from the dark substance and threw it into the ocean.

Unfortunately, he threw away the wrong case. The dark substance remains inside his laboratory.

Haze:

Another civilian subject was picked for the new experiments. The dark substance accidently gets applied to a new subject (Mister Testa).

Lizardman the dumfuck was unable to close the door of the laboratory space properly. Due to the wrong substance being used, the system blew up. Knowing the hazard, the professor and Lizardman quickly escape the laboratory. Mister Testa remained there.

While the president got informed, the infested haze spread all over San Andreas. The SSU forces can withstand the haze for a while and collected samples of it.

With help of the samples, antibodies were made by the professor. After taking them in, SSU was able to purge San Andreas of the haze.

Braindead:
part 1

Due to the black subject overdose, Mister Testa became a cruel and braindead zombie. His attacks on civilians spread the virus. A State of emergency was declared.

By helicopter the president was brought to safety to the desert base. Once they arrived, it was already infested. The president’s lifeguards fought the approaching zombies while he took cover in an air duct to call SSU, who was on a homosexual trip in the woods.

After a random immediate attack of zombies, SSU escapes and meets up with the doctor and Lizardman. With a bus they now head to the desert base in order to rescue the president.

Anoobis, Rainbow, Nauthiluz, MtS & TurBo were not on that SSU trip and saved the president already. Right in time the bus arrives to pick up those 5 guys alongside the president. Now they’re on their way to the San Fierro Easter Basin base.

Orion:

On their way, the professor stops by at the big satellite dish in the desert to send a beam of light to space.

Braindead:
part 2

SSU, the president, the professor and Lizardman safely arrive at the Easter Basin military base, where a military ship awaits them to be off to the sea. Nemesis, a big ass zombie, hid on board.

Ultima:

The beam of light from Orion damaged the ozone layer, which leads to cosmic radiation. All beings on the planet are going to suffer to death. Lizardman brings back the correct substance, which the professor accidentally threw away in Aqua. He's now making use of it to set up a temporary protective shield against the radiation.

To be continued...

Endlessity 4

Here's the next of the series, I guess you know the drill. I wanted to make this like 2 weeks earlier, but ran out of time and got lazy then. During the past few days I've always edited a little if I felt like. It's been the very first video I edited with Vegas 12 64 bit and on my new computer. I must say it's the first and last time I'm using that version as it's just complete crap to me + doesn't support a shit-load of plug-ins, so it's been edited with the stock FX and bugged around a fucking lot. I've probably overdone it with the video quality a little with 15 Mbit/s, but I just had to now whereas I got decent hardware and upload. If you want a lower quality version or other hosts, just tell me and I'll try to offer it. The stunts are having the usual level and I gotta thank Przem for sending a guest stunt. Derp derp enjoy!

Gaming Discussion / FF15 GFX - Agni's Philosophy

Dunno if anyone posted this earlier. However, take a look.

Square Enix presented their Luminous engine with this at the E3 this year. Yoshihisa Hashimoto confirmed a Final Fantasy game with graphics of this quality already for not too far future. The engine is PC optimized and PS3/XBOX360 are too weak for this already, therefore there's hope for a PC version as well. Rumors also say FF15 would be in development for 4 years already and that Square Enix want to pull off something for their 25th anniversary.

Here are some screens and a video. You can find more on this site: http://www.agnisphilosophy.com

Agni's Philosophy -- FINAL FANTASY REALTIME TECH DEMO

Personally I don't think FF15 will look this sick as one would really need some ridiculous hardware. I guess it's just a sneak peak to show what the engine would be capable of. But we'll see what the next console generation will come up with.

Information:

Ohai GTAS, after 10 month of work we're back with a new SA crew video, which builds the sequel to Haze. The story continues, so you might re-watch Haze to refresh it before watching this.

Well what to say about the video? It was supposed to be done earlier and rendering + uploading was a pain as usually lol. All in all that ain't surprising though as the amount of work we invested is really ridiculous, but I guess it paid off. During the making of the workload just kept increasing and I wouldnt't have had anymore time for this, so we had to shorten the cutscenes and dropped the idea of making one more stunting part. I'll have to thank some people for their good help over the time. PtRvY has often helped me a lot with scripting related problems, PrzemOO mapped almost every stunt and scripted the cutscene between the stunting parts and FlatFace extended a model for us which you'll identify once you see it. Furthermore thanks go out to all my SSU mates for letting me edit the SA crew video yet again, for the support and the voice acting, even though I was already stressed and annoyed at times by all this I must admit. I'm just glad we've finished it now.

There isn't much to tell about the editing. It's quite simple yet has energy I guess. There are some retarded relations in the video you might not get and find pretty random, but oh well, we get them and probably will explain later on lol. In the cutscenes our CJs don't have their custom clothes as I couldn't be bothered to mask so much. The outro misses a few informations, but I did not want to redo all the texts for a third time, so I just let it the way it is as I thought nobody cares anyway.

Stunting wise I think we all did well and made this a really good video. Finisher of the first main part is some kinda "new" method, which I'm sure will be explained by Bart (who is the founder of it) later on a bit more detailed. I have to apologize to XTO & Requiem which didn't make it in anymore, even though they sent something.

We hope you enjoy our 11th crew video, which is Bart's, corevil's & Edga's SSU SA debut. Also welcome back home once again, MtS. However, I think I've typed enough and won't hold you back any longer from having a look right now!

Anyone remembers this old shit or am I already too old? :P

Command & Conquer is a real time strategy game. Basically one just builds a base, creates units and destroys the enemies with them, simple as that.

I have been playing it on PS1 and later on PC a lot many years ago and had good fun. As my mouse is currently broken, I digged up games which I can play with graphic tablet as well and I totally fell in love again. The game is now freeware and does have a decent online multiplayer mode which offers teams and up to 8 players per map. One can also create own scenarios with a map editor.

The game installer is just 23 MB in filesize and is actually the only thing you need. If you want music and all the singleplayer content such as cutscenes etc. as well, get the 3 .exe files and simply run them in 1 directory. Download is right below:

http://redalert1.com/

The game is from 1995 and should run on every Windows OS. You might need to execute the ra95.exe (singleplayer) or cncnet.exe (multiplayer) in an older Windows mode and as administrator.

If you have no experience with the game I do not recommend you to try online matches straight away as the overall skill is really high. However, if you want to, execute the cncnet.exe file and click on "Multiplayer Game" in the main menu. Then click on "Network" (NOT "Internet" !) and you should be straightly in the online lobby where one can insert a name, pick a country, a color and join a match or simply host an own.

If any of you GTAS people wants to give it a shot, hit me up (PM/MSN) as I'm always up for some multiplayer action. I'm also not on the level of those online cracks and basically just have experience from singleplayer and a few offline multiplayer matches (Skirmish mode), but it's still good fun though. :lol:m also not on the level of those online cracks and basically just have experience from singleplayer and a few offline multiplayer matches (Skirmish mode), but it

Ohai, I made some fake HDR SA clip ~ a month ago using AE & PS. Took ages to render and ain't worth it with my machine. Also nvm about the in-game sky.
The clip actually wasn't a good choice to test with. However, just wondered how GTA videos would look like :euro:

Hey GTAS,
as you probably have noticed - we're having a new separated section for short videos/editing tests now. It was made with the purpose of keeping other sections cleaner and to have a discrete place for smaller editing related projects. Take a look by clicking the text below:

>>Click<<

Please try to avoid multiple small topics by simply using stunt video database alike topics. The only additional restrictions for the new section for now are:
- Base your feedback on the editing mainly
- Modded videos gotta get tagged as a modded one by the author straight away

VC Chat & Support / VC introduction help
« on: January 15, 2012, 04:30:02 AM »
Heyho GTAS, I'm getting started a little more in VC since Oasis and will try to nail some stunts every now and then. Well for SSU videos mainly, but I'd try to be in collaborations etc. too if I happen to have some more lol.

Basically I'm just having 2 "problems" which bug me a little. And a little request too. I'm willing to give out some credits for solutions/outcomes if it matters something to you. Help is much appreciated.

My first problem is that I can not enable 1920x1080p resolution in VC. It works just fine in GTA3 & SA, but not in VC lol. Is there some patch/mod/trick or something? The maximum I can choose in-game is 1440x900p.

In the resolution options on the desktop it's available.

1920x1080p is not listed as PC resolution in the nVIEW-panel though. When I hit the "Adjust..." ("Anpassen...") button, I can only add resolutions to the HD, SD category or as user-defined. They both do not work in-game, so I reckon it somehow gotta get enabled in the PC resolution category since 1440x900p is listed as highest there.

The other problem is the FPS-rate while recording. Whenever I start a recording, the FPS drop down to like 8-10 and stay constantly at that value. I did not lock the frame-rate in Fraps' options, nor inserted a custom amount. I just tick the 30 FPS thing. The version of Fraps I use is 3.2.3 if that helps.

And here's the other little thing. It's not I badly want nor need a PCJ skin, but I'd appreciate it if somebody is willing to try to make me one. I've inserted a picture of the Tommy I got, so you probably keep his look in mind. I'm not giving any restrictions, just try to make it fitting.
