VC Un-Modded Stunting Video Releases / Re: Unearthed
« on: January 21, 2017, 06:30:33 PM »
Have a hard time imagining most of these people will stick around, but regardless it was a nice video. Nostalgia or not, it's comforting to see old people still paying visits. I'm still of the belief that nobody truly just 'quits' this place.

Honestly don't know what to say. It's a video as I'd expect it; legacy beyond quality, fitting semi-metal something music, clean editing. None of these stunts were mindblowing but the participating names enough to surprise me.

Music and editing as I remember it. Very refreshing in the eyes of what GTA V vids are these days. Really makes me miss the community, regardless of how minor my participation was. Quality shit lads.

I'm drunk as shit and more likely to be positive, so why not:
Code: [Select]
Big V: I've had far too many similar run-ups; shitty light post and obstacles. A simple tap to realign the bike into a grind is beautiful; it makes the twist seem seamless. An underestimated alternative to bumps.

Blaze: I've always seen eye-to-eye with you, despite you actually getting shit done in videos. Maybe not the most creative of stunts but didn't stand out negatively, which (on my level) would be considered a win.

FFace: Amount of times I've wanted to do shit with that rail. It's still one of the areas I associate with you; where I imported my first taxi .dff modification. Irrelevant but whatever, sweet. :^)

Tryr: Never truly understood p2b'ing off light poles but the (reverse?) twist to land looked sweet, as if entirely under control as opposed to just hoping you'd land properly.

Clown: Again, simple, but it didn't stand out in a negative way. A solid one.

Haywire: Another hill bump realignment. Vastly underrated and makes the stunt seem far more fluent.

Nem: Didn't even notice the plane til later. Was just a bump off the curb, yeah? Regardless it's quite a length from what I've experienced; not shabby.

Frank: Yet to have success with grinding on anything of that thickness so can't really tell if it's difficult. Average visually, I guess.

Esteban: Seemed a bit.. Aimless? Bump itself is indeed in a promising place, but doesn't leave much space to land on anything.

Mehmet: Not sure if it's old but certainly a solid land.

Zero: Decent amount of air. I remember how shit that flowerbed is to bump off, and seemed like a b2b, which with the smooth screw looked very nice.

Fighter: Typical Fighter CSM? <: Indeed basic but I still love anything landing atop that building. Seemed impossible back in the XSA days.

Cooper: grinds'a grind. Looked smooth, maybe not the most interesting but again, didn't stand out poorly.

Max: A tiny bit aimless? I assume you intended on landing on the longer side of the nets. A bit stuffy of a setup for that short a grind, honestly.

Justcaus3: Again, simple smooth grind. Nice conscious twist between.

Dev: Another one I've had eyes on for years. It seems like a large gap (as a nobody shitter) but isn't that bad. Regardless it's a decent amount of air and doesn't look out of place.

Danger: Assume the goal was to land on the building straight in front of the p2b? A tiny bit eh in general, but I fucking hate setting up side p2bs so I kinda 'tolerate' it.

Nem: another mid-air realignment. Lovely.

All(beast): Would've been nice to see a tiny bump on the rail, but honestly wouldn't really have led anywhere. Decent enough.

Aries: As classic as your name in GTAS. Tricky line-up resulting in a simple bump with some height. Another building I love seeing landed albeit pretty low.

Memories: I'm still fucked up regarding RADs, no idea how far 'far' is, but it certainly looked somewhat difficult, even if an old spot. Considering I don't recall you it was pretty decent.

In general, with the names included here I enjoyed it. Maybe it's rose-tinted bias but I still love seeing old stunters return (albeit temporarily?). Can't imagine it took too much time to throw together, so it'd be nice to see more of these simple classic ones.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Hi I'm Baseline.

Not so much the fact you did, more so the fact you borderline bragged about it without end on GTAS. Wasn't love related either, just "Lmao she 11/10 best babe in town u digg?".  The fact you're (apparently) into psychology fits you nicely in with the usual nutjobs trying to reason their immature behavior with quotes of actual intellectuals.

Why so mad fam? You got awfully defensive based on a single question alone. One would think you're not entirely proud of your past behavior. Can we get some deep psychology shit on that too? ay bruv

Music / Re: Free/cheap music stream app?
« on: December 01, 2015, 05:37:55 AM »
Hey all!

Been using spotify premium for the last 5 years and thought I might save a penny by going for something cheaper. I tend to listen to the same songs over and over anyway.

You guys know of any good alternatives that offer:

- Cheap (5 euros or less a month)

- No commercials

- Android app

- Good (normal?) search functions

- Decent music library, just listening to rock most of the time though.
https://play.spotify.com/

Made a trial account 2 years ago, still works, no ads. Dunno if it's firefox that disables something but it works on vanilla firefox regardless. Its actually better than premium spotify lol.

Are those bmx wallrides really difficult? is not, i don't see the cool thing in them if they don't end in a prec/grind. With that said, solid video guys. I enjoyed it a lot.
Pretty much how I feel about it. Gliding included. I'd be lying if I said most of the gliding here wasn't impressive in size or whatever (honestly might just be because I'm still used to VC vids), but some of the wallrides and glides really did feel underwhelming in comparison to the rest of the video. I know most of these stunts could've taken days, as most stunts do, but ending them in a lucky bump or landing 2/3rds up the building, just to bounce onto it, kinda ruins it.

Music I'm not gonna touch on. The editing itself was a bit up and  down. Some of the shots with intense reflections and rain looked great, but then they were followed by a clip with next to no editing, in bright daily colors, almost looking as if the graphics were turned down between them.

I assume you wanted to create a long all-star kind of video, hence the length, but a few of the stunts did have a bit of a filler feel to them.

Generally a good video, but a few fillers could've been removed (+/- revision of the editing)

you've got a piss poor attitude. i won't waste any time arguing your points, when you can't even back them up with achievments. good luck with your stunting. i'll see myself out.
A poor attitude. You wrote off the majority of this community that stunt in V, because a girl who does mostly parachute and bmx things managed to fly through a hole. I can see how you'd worship this person if you're into 'creative' things like that, but jesus christ. We got people here who've been in the top tier since the release of VC but you're willing to forget about it, because she appeals to your sense of grinding along a rail.

Maybe if you send her this topic she'll give you a kiss, too.

fact is, GTA V is not like the variations of the past. we had more time on console to develop our methods and find spots without the ease of a trainer. PC elitists waited til things got easy, then come in and say our methods don't mean anything. well, they do. if you are doing stunts in free roam as opposed to whatever alternative, you're gonna get my respect and a large number of other peoples respect. i'm not sure what you did in previous games, but you haven't earned anyones respect in this game and you're not going to with talk like that.

edit: not that using race mode, or any future trainer, is going to lessen stunts for me. it's just a point of pride if it's done in free roam and to say it means nothing is wrong. also, helmets look terrible and you always have to wear a helmet in race mode.
You know it's quite funny; this reminds me of the discussion we had not long ago. The thing keeping down new stunters is the fact people keep talking about VC and SA being the better and more legit games to stunt in, compared to V. We now have access to tools making stunting easier, but you'd rather stick to the GOOD OL DAYS where it wasn't harder, just more time consuming, why? You'd rather see videos with easier stunts in them, because they had to wait for cars to pass by, and for them to respawn after dying, repairing their bike every other 30 mins? You said it yourself. All the big roofs are getting cleared and gliding is already boring, things are only gonna get more time consuming and complex from now on.

I couldn't care less for 'respect' by people who don't want to use crutches instead of dragging themselves across the floor. If you wanna spend twice as long on a stunt because you have to drive back, sure, but don't use it as an excuse for your stunts to be more impressive than they actually are. We don't need a generation of grandpas going "Well, could've done it free-roam.." as their only criticism.

CAN WE GET BACK TO THE FACT THAT THIS IS A GRIL
It's the same case every time we've had a "girl" on this forum. Ironical or not, people end up rubbing their wiener at them every other post. Look at how many times it's been mentioned so far, even with a stunt overshadowing who the person is entirely.

girls can do anything. she's not "the best girl stunter around" she is "one of the best stunters around"
Rofl.

"All in free-roam" dear fucking god don't bring this shit here. It adds absolutely fucking nothing to say YEAH WELL, EVERY TIME I FAILED THE STUNT, I DROVE BACK. No matter how boring gliding is, knowing a person drove back each time doesn't make it anymore impressive. I haven't heard anyone bring up doing anything in free-roam till V was released. If you told anyone you didn't use dannye's in VC, they wouldn't care. Several people made "Live recordings" of their stunts and it didn't get anymore impressive.

If you need to come up with excuses to make your stunts look impressive, you're doing something wrong. "This painting is bad" "Yeah well I actually painted it in the dark with my own feces" "Oh now I see it, $5000 right there". The stunt itself is good regardless, I don't even know why you're bringing this up lol.

^^ This.  Saying anything negative about that stunt is ridiculously elitist.
... What? If I knew a friend had a car but walked 2 hours to work instead, I'd call him stupid regardless.

Looks like a launch game, and after 2-3 hours of streams and gameplay and what not, it still does. Other than the appeal of the style and the inklings, the game itself looks like something you'd end up forcing yourself to play, just not to feel like it was a waste.

Really hope they didn't drive all the way back each time. That aside, this is probably the kind of stunts that'll be impressive in a few months from now, when all the big buildings has been landed and a simple bump glide gets boring. But yeah, this one hole has been used more than a prostitute. There's got to be more body precisions like it.

That guy is a girl, and anyone who doesn't think that was awesome is blind, pissed or jealous.

I'm jealous.
Doesn't matter much if they don't pursue stunting or end up actually committing time and what not, to it, but only does tiny rockstar editor clips. There's probably people out there on WH level in VC who never exposed themselves to people, so there's probably lots like that in V also.

Not entirely sure I like the bump-wallride stuff. Sometimes it looked neccesary but others it seemed like a butchered landing. Finisher was 10/10.
