Hey guys, I've noticed that a lot of people on GTAStunting are having problems with GTA IV trainers - it seems that people are finding them overly complex to set up. When I first started stunting GTA IV, I took the time to ensure that I was always prepared, so I didn't run into these kinds of problems. This resulted in the creation of Shadowsniper's IV Stunting Package. This is a modification to Simple Trainer (http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=392973&st=0) by 'sjaak372' from GTAForums. It's a very user friendly trainer with lots of different options, and it's especially useful when stunting. However, it can be time consuming to go through all the menus setting everything up, and some of the default options are not optimal for stunting. To solve this, I have modified the default ini files to enable god mode, midday and sunny time and weather, ghost town, never wanted, unlimited ammo, and the speedometer by default. I have also disabled fast run to prevent modded parkour stunts, and disabled anti-jacking to allow for team grabs. I have also included a 'Story Mode' version that disables everything when you don't feel like stunting. This works on all versions of IV, including EFLC. All of these options can be changed using the ingame menu, or by changing the relevant trainer.ini files. I constantly keep this package up to date, so you will never have to worry about downloading the latest files. This trainer can be used in both Single Player and Multiplayer.

There are LOTS of useful vehicles in GTA IV that you should check out; you can find these using the 'vehicle spawning' menu. However, only a select few have their own hotkeys (these can be changed/added to in the three trainer.ini files). These are the most important ones.
Alt + B - Spawn Comet

VERY IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THE TRAINER AND STUNTING
DO NOT USE 'ALWAYS GOD MODE'. This enables antifall, you should only be using special god mode (same goes for special car god mode), which is enabled by default.
DO NOT USE NITRO! You can find more details regarding this in the 'Nitro' section of this post.
Unfourtunately, you don't bail off bikes when landing in the water, no matter which version of godmode you have enabled. This is something I cannot fix, so I'll try and get sjaak to fix this in the latest version of Simple Trainer. Until then, if you think you're going to land in the water with a bike, jump off beforehand so people who view your replays don't mistake you for using anti-fall.
There's a bug in GTAIV multiplayer that all stunters need to be aware of. When you type a message, all of your replay data resets, so DO NOT type anything in the chat window until you have saved your replay, don't even open it. This can actually be used to your advantage, many stunters use it to reset their replays on every attempt.
Using the modded packer ramp is a very bad idea, just don't.
TLAD and TBOGT each have their own special vehicles, these can be very useful in stunting. TLAD has two very useful bikes; the Hakouchu Custom and the Double T Custom. The Hakouchu Custom is the fastest overall bike in GTA IV (although the Vader from TBOGT can go faster when doing a wheelie), and the Double T Custom is generally the easiest bike to grind with (depending on the rail). TLAD also has some extra chopper bikes which can also be useful at times. On the other hand TBOGT has the fastest car in the game (the Police Stinger), the best boat in the game (the Blade), and also the best all around bike (the Vader), as well as other features like the smallest helicopter in GTA IV (the Buzzard) and parachutes. I would advise anyone who owns the DLC to mainly use TBOGT for stunting, because there aren't many advantages to stunting with TLAD except for one/two bikes which are only worth using instead of the Vader on rare occasions.
Nitro
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT USE NITRO! Normally, the maximum speed you can reach with nitro is exactly the same as you can reach without it, nitro is just useful for getting speed boosts to reach maximum speed where that would normally be impossible. However when using the trainer, you can exceed the maximum speed of any vehicle. You have more nitro in race mode than you do with the trainer, the GUI for the nitro canister is also different. In race mode, when you activate nitro it will use up your whole supply in one go. If you use the nitro from the trainer, you can use it in bursts, using as little or as much as you like. When you activate nitro in race mode, you get a visual effect where the vehicle will zoom away from the screen with motion blur, which you don't get when using the trainer. Using nitro from the trainer is modding and is disabled by default, so do not enable it. And if you do, everybody will know because it will show up in your replay. The trainer also allows you to use nitro in every vehicle, but by default nitro is limited to the vehicles you can select in the race menu (these are listed below). I will contact sjaak so that hopefully, he can solve this problem for future releases.

Updates
11/04/2018 #2 - Fixed 'Special Car God Mode' not working correctly.
11/04/2018 #1 - Updated from 'Simple Trainer 6.2' to 'Simple Trainer 6.5'. Added a 'Story Mode' version that disables everything when you don't feel like stunting. Disabled 'MobileRadio' and 'NeverTired'. Disabled some more hotkeys that are commonly pressed by accident whilst stunting (spawn bodyguards, car alarm, interior lights, open/close car door, explode car, cruise control). These features can still be accessed from the menu, but the hotkeys are disabled to avoid problems. This does not support the latest IV (1.0.8.0) and EFLC (1.1.3.0) updates, owing to the lack of ScriptHook support. However, this does support support earlier versions of the game.
20/10/2011 - Disabled some hotkeys that are commonly pressed by accident whilst stunting (spawn attacking ped/driver, get taxi, no reload/unlimited ammo, superjump). These features can still be accessed from the menu, but the hotkeys are disabled to avoid problems. Also slightly modified the advice about TBOGT and TLAD's vehicles in the first post.
03/12/2010 - Modified the 'important notes' section, and added a section dedicated to the use of nitro (or in other words, why you shouldn't use it).
27/11/2010 - Updated the trainer to disable nitro and modified the 'important notes' section.
07/11/2010 - Modified the 'important notes' section.
In closing, I hope you find this useful, and use it for many years to come :). You can find out more about Simple Trainer by checking out the Simple Trainer topic at GTAForums (http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=392973&st=0). Post a message there thanking sjaak for all of his hard work!

I have some version of it, great effort on making it and on the topic, nice job mate.

Pretty helpful, thanks :ajaja:

how to make native trainer work for version v1.0?

Maybe a stupid question, but can Rockstar ban people from playing multiplayer just because of cheats?

You have to use a method on GTAForums where you re-write the file structure of the game. I'd just patch up to the latest version, no point in playing on 1.0.
Maybe a stupid question, but can Rockstar ban people from playing multiplayer just because of cheats?
Nope, the way it works is that Rockstar separates 'hacking' players (that would include trainer users) from those who don't use them. So when you log into multiplayer with trainers on, you can ONLY see people who use hacks in the browser. 'Simple Trainer' is even shown in the top left of the server browser. Those who don't use hacks can only see those who don't (unless hackers bypass the system, but those hacks aren't publicly released thankfully). Originally they tried blocking cheats, but it was so easy for modders to bypass it that they just separated them. So when you want to play original multiplayer, just remove any modified files and you can play original users :)
-
Got it, thanks for explaining things for me.
-
No problem :euro:
-
Very nice and useful. Maybe it will encourage me to land something in IV soon. :P
-
Awesome, Ill DL and give it a try, sick of having to turn on nitro and all that crap before stunting anyways.
Much Thanks Man. Also, I'm working on a IV Solo if you'd be interested in guesting :) PM me if so.
-
No problem :). I would definitely be interested, I've got leftover stuff that I could send. It's not that they aren't good enough for my collab with Slayer, but I've landed like 400 stunts over the period of stunting it. So I can make a lot of videos out of IV, let's say that :>. I'll PM you about other details.
-
Can you modify it so it has the same shortcuts as dannye? or make it like dannye? I find this whole thing annoying and messy. turns me off from stunting in IV :|
-
Could do but I don't have the time to do that, just look in the ini file and modify, should be self explanatory once you look at it :)
-
I have 2 questions:
Is there a way to morph back onto your bike when you fall off? (Like in Dannye's with teleporting I mean)
and, Slayer told me something about setting topspeeds for cars when using nitro...what was that again? :P He said the cars go over their real topspeed when using the trainer so you have to limit it or something...
-

1. Unfourtunately not, it's a shame but luckily when you spawn vehicles you will automatically enter them, and your old ones tend to disappear (except of course, if you perm them with K + Num1). - I found a shortcut that lets you warp back to your last permed vehicle, it's not the perfect solution but it works ;). Perm your bike with K + NUM1, then you can warp back to it with K + NUM2. Also added this hotkey to first post.
2. Yeah, the default settings when nitro is enabled are unlimited, this makes it possible to travel at speeds that would otherwise be impossible. So to make it legitimate, what you need to do and what I have done is enable the nitro limiting function in the trainer.ini files. This way it operates just like normal, except you can reload it when it's empty using L + Num2 :) - What I said here turned out to be wrong. Refer to the first post to see why you can't use nitro in it's current state. There's also other problems when stunting with Simple Trainer if you use the default setitings, such as fast-run (makes you run faster, so I disabled it to allow for onfoot stunting) and anti-jack (disabled this to allow team-grabs). This is why my package is useful, I've set everything up in a way which makes the trainer completely legitimate to use, to avoid people having problems with accidentally modded videos and such. I bet people who don't use this package and just download Simple Trainer will end up using 'Always God Mode' and enable anti-fall by accident. I can see that happening. Also, if you're driving a bike and land in the sea you don't bail for some reason, no matter which godmode you're using. I've added a note about that to the important notes section of the first post, hopefully I can get sjaak to fix the problem for the next version of Simple Trainer :)
-
Pinned too.

:a-cheer: :a-cheer: :a-cheer:

Hmm, it works fine on my IV but somehow fails severely on EFLC.. the game simply 'stops running' before it even starts, and after checking the scripthook logs it says something about '[FATAL] failed to detect game version' or something like that. Yes I've ran it as administrator and yes I got the legal retail version of EFLC.
If you've got some advice here, it'd be helpful.
-
Have you previously ran a version of Simple Trainer with EFLC? If so, and even if not, I would delete the asilog.txt and the scripthook.log file in your IV folder and then try again :). Also, which scripthook are you using? The default scripthook.dll included in the package or the other included 'old' version? If for example you were running patch 5 on IV, and accidentally copied the scripthook from there (the old copy) to your patch 7 EFLC, then that would cause the problem you describe. Try replacing the scripthook with the default included in the package, and delete any possible conflicting modifications.
-
wow this all works very nicely, thanks a lot for this :*
-
hey ss upload ur entire gtaiv dir plox
-
Neiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin.
-
Do you use enb when stunting?
-
Nope, and also on Patch 7 you have to use a dumbed down version because the coder doesn't want to re-write the whole program (patch 5 and under used a different structure in their graphical shaders, which ENB is coded for). I have another copy for when I need to record using ENB, but I'll only be using it for the IV collab, as afterwards I'll be stunting in EFLC (which is patch 6 minimum).

UPDATE
Changed the important notes section, and updated the trainertbogt.ini to disable nitro. If you have the previous version of the trainer, delete the trainertbogt.ini file in your IV folder, and replace it with the new version. Slayer has been pointing out to me for a long time that nitro works differently between the trainer and the default nitro found in race mode, and I didn't think that was the case for a long time, but we tested it last night and found major differences.
1. Normally, the max speed you can attain with nitro is exactly the same as without it, nitro is just useful for getting speed boosts where you can't normally reach maximum speed. Using the trainer, you can exceed the max speed of any vehicle.
2. You have more nitro in race mode than you do with the trainer, the GUI for the nitro canister is also different.
3. In race mode, when you activate nitro it will use up your whole supply in one go. If you use the nitro from the trainer, you can use it in bursts, using as little or as much as you like.
4. When you activate nitro in race mode, you get a visual effect where the vehicle will zoom away from the screen with motion blur, which you don't get when using the trainer.
This unfourtunately means that unless you've only used the nitro to get to max speed during the runup to a stunt, that anything you landed with nitro is modded, and can't be used in a video. Don't have any haste in deleting nitro replays, everyone will know you've used it, trust me. I've contacted the creator of the trainer, so hopefully he can fix the problem so that nitro can be enabled again in the future.

Here's another update, sorry for the double post. Added a section dedicated to the topic of nitrous, further research shows that nitro is limited to a specific few vehicles by default.

Try running the 'launchgtaiv' executable as an administrator, same for GTAIV.exe
-
It works ! Thanks :euro:

No problem :euro:
-
How to save clips while using this?Instead of recording. It pops up the menu.
-
Sorry to only just get back to you; replays don't work in the same way as they do in VC or SA. You save a replay by pressing F2, this saves .cli and .tag files for each replay to the 'Rockstar Games' folder in your Documents. You view these by going to the mobile phone and selecting 'video editor' there you can either view replays or edit them :)
-
Just got a new computer and now i might actually be able to play GTA IV, just wondering if you know if the trainer works on the Steam version?
-
Yeah, it does :)
-
As soon as im done with the missions ill give gta4 stunting a second try. Your post helped a lot SS. :cc_detective:
-
No problem :cc_detective:
-
that's so epic SS..
bad that I don't stunt in IV anymore :S
-
You will want to once you've seen the duo :ninja:
*awaits obligitory "that's never" joke* :P

I'm allready informed about this. But when I use the trainer for versions lower than 1.0.6.0.Instead of saving a clip, the F2 button brings up the weapons menu.
-
That's strange, sure your using the right scripthook version? One comes with the package labelled 'OLD VERSION' :P
-
Yes,but...
Accidentaly I were using 2 trainers :P
Thanks anyways
-
is that also work in GTA EFLC ?
-
Yup.
-
wow , thanks alot man rly awesome
But i do got 1 question...
how to get ghosttown ? / no players / vehicles
-
Yup.
oh thank's ! It works also , man you deserve to be a previliged member :)
Thanks , can't say I'm really bothered about the member title though :P
wow , thanks alot man rly awesome
But i do got 1 question...

It's enabled by default :). If you want to turn it off, you can do that by going to the second page of the options menu ingame, and enabling cars and peds. If you want it off by default, you can open the 'trainer.ini' files, find the cars/peds options and set them to 0.
-
tnx ;D
-
GJ, im use that, is really nice
-
Goooooooooooooood :D
-
Does this work with the 1.0.8.0 EfLC patch?
-
God I want GTA IV for the PC but have no idea if im able to play it :(

Does this work with the 1.0.8.0 EfLC patch?
There's no such thing afaik. Works with the latest version :)
Oh sorry, I meant 0.1.0.8 my mistake  But if it works with the latest version then that shouldn't be an issue, dling!
-
You're still wrong, the latest version is 1.7 :ninja:. For EFLC, it's 1.1.2 :)

:ninja: I'll just test it and see, I've spammed enuff.

Well that's weird, it's not called that officially :ninja: - no wonder it shows 0.1.0.8, that's the SecuROM launcher not the EFLC.exe :P

Update: Disabled some hotkeys that are commonly pressed by accident whilst stunting (spawn attacking ped/driver, get taxi, no reload/unlimited ammo, superjump). These features can still be accessed from the menu, but the hotkeys are disabled to avoid problems. Also slightly modified the advice about TBOGT and TLAD's vehicles in the first post. Download the new version by clicking the link in the first post or by clicking here (http://www.sendspace.com/file/ibpqhk).

Nope, the .ini files have completely different settings in my version. And without knowing what's enabled in the ini by default, you cause be cheating without even knowing it (always god mode, fast run, etc). That's why this is up, so people can stunt legitimately and easily without worrying about anything :)

Time for an update! Not much has changed, but I have updated Shadowsniper's IV Stunting Package in preparation for the next version of GTA IV, to make for a simpler porting process. This should also solve menu lag issues on the latest version of Windows. This may or may not be the final update, depending on whether there is a version of ScriptHook that supports the next version of the game coming later this month. Who knows, there may be tangentially linked reasons as to why I have updated this as well... :ninja:.
Update #1: Updated from 'Simple Trainer 6.2' to 'Simple Trainer 6.5'.
Update #2: Fixed 'Special Car God Mode' not working correctly.
