Have you checked to see how it looks if you make the green parts transparent?
I could imagine that looking pretty great with only that part having a reflection.

Not really a fan of the yellow version of the brakes and the red might look a bit more natural being slightly darker or having less contrast imo.

The red bike reminds me of those really old ones by Maggi. I like it.

The green parts of the bike are actually transparent, it's quite hard to see in the pictures I guess. Also the reflection looks way sicker ingame. The green brakes were the original ones, though the yellow ones add some more interest in my opinion, they are also not that bright ingame. It might be my timecyc set to full brightness that makes the individual parts give you eye cancer. Decreasing the brightness of the metal and brakes would lead to a darker bodymap which would look boring I guess. Going to try with some standard settings.

Thanks for your review und dankeschön :)

Good stuff, I've been experimenting with some transparency effects on skins for a while and it makes for some interesting results. Personally I'd drop the glow effect a little bit on the green pattern itself as it's fairly overpowering and would show off the transparency a little bit more. It looks much better with the green rims but those red brake calipers stick out like a sore thumb, would be a little cleaner if it had the same texture as the darker body area, maybe with some green accents. I guess it's all subjective though really, aslong as you're happy with it - nice to see some new skinning activity here also, makes me want to pick up the pace and get some VC stuff done again.

Inspiring you is the best achievement, thanks for your review. Just uploaded a short video of the skin in action, although there might be only one scene where the skin is fully visible. https://youtu.be/bNRkQF2f7sg As you said I guess it's a subjective matter. From a close distance everything looks very bright whereas from a distance the brightnesses change. If someone is interested in owning it personal changes can be made of course.

It looks much better once you can see all the details, one of my main gripes with skinning has always been that the hours you put into the intricacy of the skins are never really reflected in videos and most people aside from whoever uses the bike whilst stunting won't even see them unless they're really looking closely. Back in the day alot of new skinners got flack for just cut/pasting wallpapers as skins but in reality sometimes those skins can come out better than the ones you spend hours on :P

True that, love the idea behind your remastered carcol friendly PCJ. I love putting work into the details although switching the perspective is just as important. Sometimes it can be quite hard creating a unique skin by just working with clean shapes. The golden mean would be to create something that suites pictures as well as videos. Generally I think bright colors and easily readable shapes are best. Also I am still looking for a way to add extras like particles or lights to a skin, to give it a special look without having to zoom in too much. Maybe even things like custom smoke/ spark colors or customized textures apart from the bike itself will work to add some more uniqueness and personality to the skin.

Edit: Added NRG500 Body and Metal Wireframe Templates. Check the Downloads tab within the first post.

Fixed version here:

Please tell me if you find any bugs, but it should work now. Also trying to figure out a way to set three carcols, Promagic had the idea, that's why I made this version though.

Edit: The only way I can think of right now is adding the two carcols and leaving a blank space for the texture to be modified. Right now I don't know of any possibility to add more than primary and secondary carcolors.

Would you be up to make an Infernus skin?
