Un-modded Stunting Video Releases / Re: Nem - Selfless
« on: February 20, 2017, 08:02:07 PM »
Looks fun, as mentioned above it is quite fun to see the differences in the maps.
The VC map is obvious, but I'm quite surprised how well I know GTA3's map.
The stunts were mostly good, but nothing really spectacular. Perhaps the limitations of the map?

Same goes with the editing. Incredible quality I might add, but very lackluster. I know VC stunters
prioritize the stunts more, but it's not that über quality content I usually associate with you.
I was not a fan of the blurry corners, cookie cutter frame. It barely worked in Sharger.

It can be many different factors of course, I'm aware of that. Maybe it's me having too high expectations?
Maybe the lack of motivation from your side?

Either way it was an entertaining video with a decent editing. Looked fun!

DREADFUL JUSTICE

Since we don't really have an "editing" topic here on GTAStunting I thought it might as well just put my video in here.

Notes

This video was done 23rd of December and was uploaded 29th due to rendering issues and therefore held a break from uploading it. Keep in mind this is an EDITING video to try out various projects I wanted for a while. The stunts were something I landed years ago and since I didn't have enough stunts I collected for previous projects of mine. The stunts are a mix of modded and unmodded stunts and I'm sorry if you lost any of these stunts, because of me. I used my own green screen map for this project, which was originally attended for Hush'd styled collab organized on this forum, but the lack of motivation kept me from doing it. The real motivation actually came from the song Digitalism - Miami Showdown, which is what this project is based on.

After playing Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and watching Kung Fury with its amazing futuristic neon colors I was stoked try making it into a reality. I was wondering if I should make the video in 4:3, but I kept in in 16:9. Enjoy.

I'm out.

VC Un-Modded Stunting Video Releases / Re: Unearthed
« on: January 13, 2017, 07:04:47 AM »
What a nice feeling this stunt video had. First of great choice of picking one of my most loveable songs!
I've felt like everybody did a good job. There was some favorites though. I really liked the boat precision by Mehmet and I don't know why, but I loved Max' double grind and DEV's CSM to precision. The editing was superb and was everything I expected from you, PM. The only critic I can come up with is the panning. The camera goes from left to right to left again, which I'm sure you did unintentionally. It's worth saying, but not that huge of deal!

Yes! Can someone please make grabs a thing again. I remember dedicated solos and collabs only doing this. I loved all the grabs. It really reminds me of how awesome trick it is. Even though I know in SA grabs are very limited. Enjoyable video overall and the stunts were something we all do time to time, just to remind ourselves to take a break once or two. I was not a huge fan of the song and the video was in my opinion way to narrow, because of the letterbox.

I don't really have anything else to say really other than good job!

DP Video Releases / Re: Bark & Max - Somnium

Wow, this video had a lot of style.
Not only stunting wise, which was really fun to watch.
But also editing wise. I know this idea has been done hundred times before,
but this was completely different. I would actually recommend watching this in 480p,
just to give a proper and an old school way, just like the old skateboard videos back in 90's.

Amazing video both of you! The introduction to the opener and the stunt itself was amazingly executed.
(Obviously a joke) Was those VHS overlays really necessary? I mean Sony Vegas does an excellent job to glitch out and give those while editing

I must agree with Rusch.
It's super awesome when people discover a new stunting method and huge respect to you, but if the stunts doesn't really have any style - it's not properly used in my opinion. If the stunts have too much airtime they look kind of lame and it's boring to watch, because we already know what you're going to land, since you passed the obstacle already. If it's not quick and dirty it honestly looks like you're flying NOT boosting.

I think ProMagic did an excellent job demonstrating how it should be used, since it doesn't have that massive drop. ProMagic definitely has the best stunt, and I think you could have done a similar thing with the clock at the San Fierro Bay Area. I'm curious to see how useful this method really is if it's going to look stylish (flips definitely helps). But I'm beginning to question its limits.

Overall the video gave a much deeper look into the practicality aspect of the method. I don't think it's very interesting to dedicate a whole solo with this method alone. I liked the song and the editing. It brought me back to first time I played Hotline Miami.

Fine job anyway.

Don't feel offended yourself, I said that this one is better because I love this "overedited" style, it's just a taste. But your official version was one of the best SA edits I've ever seen, I already said it on the topic. Good job NL :ajaja:

Oh it wasn't  much a message to you, Biel.
It was more a message to Alibi actually.

I don't mind really.

It's crazy to think about how old the stunts actually are.
And it's weird it took 4 years to release. Anyhow it's also interesting
too see every version Ive seen the BMX stunt is the opener.

Anyway I'm proud it was me who picked it up.
Definitely the best Ive ever done.

I never got to say thanks.
Oh, and by the way the unreleashed version was pretty neat.

W i s h  A  P o r n o   S t a r

L Digged an old modded video up, when I searched on my account.
I totally forgot everything about it, so I would like to share it on GTAS.
It's an editing project I finished in United and the effects were something I used
later on in my other videos.

It's quite a decent video. Keep in mind it's 2 years old and many of the mistakes I did
I fixed in later projects, so don't be to harsh on the aspect ratio and don't take
the stunts seriously. Enjoy.

GTA Modding / Re: [SA] NoLimit's Green Screen Map (NLGS)
« on: August 14, 2016, 11:03:33 AM »
Yeah, I tried that, but I wanted to have different angles instead normal one.
Maybe I should re-edit the title "Hush inspired map" since there's been multiple videos
already trying to mimic that, but there was never an official easy way to do it.

Also, the comic textures, are easy to replace in the image file I just didn't have the time to
replacing all the textures. Take this map as a project or an experience!

I know there're timecyc greenscreens already and this is really just another layer of element to put
into a stunting video or perhaps any other video if you're creative enough.

GTA Modding / [SA] NoLimit's Green Screen Map (NLGS)
« on: August 14, 2016, 10:15:59 AM »

This map is a complete green screen of the San Andreas map. It has two different brightness of green. One is the 'classic' green screen color and the other one is the darker color. I made this choice because I figured out that it looked awful with only one color, especially in areas where there is little to no shadows such as the desert. It's made from an already existing gta3.img and to be more precise it's from Cartoon Map. All I had to do was to replace the existing texture with green.

I thought it would be easy, but it was a complete nightmare to figure out where the two shades of green should go. Since I have not tried this before, mistakes were bound to happen. I have had this map for 2 years nows, and I thought it was about time to release it to the public. It was quite a coincidence I found this map. I found it when I cleaned up my old laptop.

I spent a lot of time on this map and that's also the reason why I stopped this project.
I have always wanted an SA GS map and I saw a couple of post on forums as well, who asked for this. Someone had to do it! The map is almost complete, and there are a few bugs here and there, which I hope the community could fix if they are in on this map, but it is an overall complete map! I cannot wait for people to see what they can achieve with it.

It is obvious to see it is from an already existing map since there are still the ugly custom cartoon texture cars, which drives around the city. I made mistakes early on. This forced me go back and correct my mistakes but not all mistakes were fixed. It is obvious to see at Bayside Marina in one of the tunnels that go through the mountains that the green color has a bunch of white lines. I have looked multiple times, and I cannot seem to find it in the gta3.img, since I probably stare blind with all the colors of green!

Bayside Marina

Also, the Verdant Meadows has some messed up textures as well. It was hard to tell the differences between the colors in gta.img. Since I used a common rule. Dark textures are dark green, everything else bright. It could also be a mistake from the Cartoon Map. I obviously just repeated the error.

Verdant Meadows

The last one that comes to my mind is near the The Glen Park Skate Park where a fence is missing on the bridge. HUGE MISTAKE. It is a transparent texture, which I thought was a crack texture. There is probably a lot more errors and mistakes I have made. This will not impact the overall usefulness!
