Ok, so what do you guys actually share except a logo? Explain to me the reason for the existence of editing crews, other than the concetration of videos into one account on YouTube for an ounce more of popularity.

Main reason for the existence of editing crews would be getting people together that have similar ideas in editing or just overall get along well and help each other out with editing.

I don't know how do the other crews handle their business, but BT is a very "tight" crew. We have regular crew conversations, we always help each other out in editing, share clips, ideas etc. with each other when we want feedback... The final product is usually much better when you get constructive feedback from others. And when those "others" share a editing crew with you, you know not only that they are experienced at what they do, but also won't be fags and spread that shit around.

And (to my knowledge) we're the only editing crew on GTAS that organized a editing crew video that actually happened (two, to be precise). Crew projects - that's another thing that's far easier to organize when you're in a editing crew.

Yea, I get the helping each other part. Why did you close the crew for auditions then? Help only the worthy?

Seriously, it's only logical to have one main sub-forum for editing in general on GTAS where ALL would share and collaborate. Oh wait, we already have that but everyone's using it to create his own crew

I closed the crew for auditions because it's a mutual decision between me and the people I've asked. I feel 12 members is enough. We never had more members in our 3-year long history. As you said yourself, a lot of new editing crews are being made these days so I'm sure talented editors will find a place other than BT that suits them.

Editing-wise I would help out anyone who asks me for advice despite his editing experience. But I wouldn't request feedback on my stuff from people I don't trust and/or don't know to be experienced editors that would point me in the right direction. That's pretty much what the difference is.

Also, "worthy" doesn't only mean good in editing. There were several good editors in BT that got kicked for non-editing reasons. Personality and the ability to get along with others in the crew is a important factor too (obviously not as important as the editing but you get the point).

Not really. Stunt + stunt = vid. Vid + vid = two links to youtube streamings that have nothing to do with each other.

You can't help everyone thats basically stupid, its just like saying we need to create a sub-forum for stunting in general on GTAS where ALL would share their spots and collaborate.... but you'd never do that, and I bet I'd never share my techniques/secrets to anyone outside BT.

It takes an experienced editor and to be in contact with a lot of other editors while actually editing a project to understand the meaning and the actual need of an editing crew.

Edit: Also it being a way to gain views that means its successful because everyones looking forward to everything thats being made under that production title, therefore a successful video under such a title gets way more attention hence more feedback and overall more appreciation, sometimes more hate.. but overall what I mean... way bigger perspective.

Edit2: Welcome in kastiboi, pm me your msn.

Basically an editing crew is a bounch of people that share the same felling and the same passion for some certainly editing! So editing crews make pretty much sense

I'd like to know where beat learned that much about editing, I mean, keeping away secrets and millenar techniques. The way I see, you just act somewhat more creatively (is that a word?) and combine stuff in some way no one has done before
